Hey. A complete off-topic question: do you think the Alliance Challenger is worth it? I loved my Chieftain and probably wont exchange it for a Challenger, but rather add a Challenger to my Fleet. So, do you think the Challenger is a good ship? I had a glance at it and didnt line it, i am ready to try again as soon as the money is there. So?

If it hits you it's still gonna hurt but it's a lot easier to dance around

Personally, I absolutely love the challenger. good jump range, good killer, all round awesome ship. And I've not even gone and engineered it yet.

Does anyone know if the system PSR J0337+1715 is in the game? It should be about 4200ly from Sol, and it should have a viciously spinning pulsar/neutron star (366 rotations per second), and 2 companion white dwarf's? They are using this system right now to test relativity. I am curious if Stellar Forge got it right?

I just looked on EDSM and Elite Galaxy Online, and I'm not seeing it. That being said someone may not have discovered it, has but hasn't put it in ether database, it's been renamed or it's not there at all. Best thing to do is just head to the coordinates and look yourself.

Soooo... Whats the point of being in a Wing then? I don't want to start a fight over which Wing is best, just trying to decide if Wings are for me at the moment. I get that some are 'all in' fellowships, other are huge collectives you can melt into the background of - but would appreciate some pro and con comments please!

I tend nomrally to just muddle about doing 'stuff', and then when I get bored go out exploring, rinse, repeat.

1) You may see regular friends in the area more often, play in Haz-Res sites together for profit and go on adventures with.
2) Might get support with interdictions when trying to grind a shared high-value mission ticket.
3) Makes working the Background Gaming System (BGS) more fun and secures controlled systems for your group.
4) No requirements really. Continue playing as you like..

I find that Elite is a much better game with friends. Whiplash makes some great examples of tangible benefits so I'll add some that aren't.
  1. Elite is complex, being in a group you'll often learn new tricks and techniques
  2. Space is big and empty, a human voice can often help keep you grounded
  3. Elite is unstructured. Ever find yourself asking "What's next"? A wing can answer that.
  4. You can leave a wing whenever with no material consequences, why not try it and see?

Anyone know of any Federation player minor faction preferably recruiting on PS4? Im tired of playing alone and would like to join a good helpful inclusive wing. (Will consider independent but no Empire)

Thanks

StalkerMacThere is no Jet's Hole to access Hera Tani

I have a problem with accessing Jet's Hole as it is not there and does not show up, I have scanned the planet and even accessed the Nav Beacon in the system but to no avail so I cannot access the engineer Hera Tani.

Does anyone have any ideas as to where I have gone wrong as I have access to her but there is no Jet's Hole where it is supposed to be.

I play on the XBox One platform

Ms. Tani has some "special relationship" with a powerful individual. She likes her privacy, so her "friend" has fixed it so that her Base doesn't show up on a scanner.
Actually though it does. It's just marked as 'unknown'.
You should have a bookmark for Hera Tani added to your galaxy map bookmark list, (it was put there when she invited you.) Before you enter the Kewemaki system, select that bookmark. Then fly to Kewemaki. When you come out of Hyperspace, Hera's Base will be actively selected on your HUD. Just go to the selected location, you will find a little moon. Continue to land at the selected ("unexplored" location. The Jets Hole will be there for you, reeking of Kamitra cigar smoke as usual.

Jet's Hole is an installation inside the crater atop a high geographical mountainous feature on the planet. Might just look for it. It is possible to just look for stuff and find things by eye.
