I'm not sure he does, tbh.
He makes out his misfortune to be the responsibility of others; not once does he question his own actions. There is so much you can do to put yourself in control - choosing the appropriate game mode for your playstyle is a great start.

If you're willing to learn, you'll never meet a more helpful Elite Dangerous community than the one here at Inara. The diversity of player types here, from gankers to explorers, means that someone will be able to give you help and advice.

Had some fun in open last night doing the CG over at Ebor in the “regular Rez zone” with a few mild-mannered commanders and have come a lot closer to that big payday as well as being able to afford some insurance for my FAS.
Definitely learning a lot! That’s for sure!

This is it bang on the money. And that's good, because life isn't like that, and contrary to a lot of Sci-Fi, if humans 'evolve' to not behave like humans, then there won't be any humans.
Also, I would have to say, if you are asking why no Bounty Hunters want to claim that 100'000'000 - it's because anyone that can amass that level of bounty is gonna need more than Boba Fett and some Carbonite to take down. If it was possible, it would not have got that high!
On the plus side, this forum has got really lively - and some excellent refereeing from Artie, could have done with him in the World Cup!

You lost a COURIER. Which has a tiny rebuy to begin with, coupled with my notoriety discount, you probably paid peanuts for that encounter.
You were not griefed.
I didn’t chase you down and kill you multiple times(though I won’t forget your name now), I’m not harassing you over comms or DMs.
Put a bounty on my head, I’m up for the challenge. In fact, I’m quite sure there’s still an outstanding 50 million credit bounty on my head from another player... add yours to the pile.
Many commanders have tried to kill me, lately, only few have succeeded because every L I took in PvP was a learning experience. I didn’t cry to reddit, discord or Inara, I went out and practiced and found people willing to train me and help me get better at pvp combat.
Learn from it.
Don’t cry griefer because you got killed ONCE.

That was actually pretty insulting. I already stated it wasn't CG and I stated that I'm not newbie. let alone NOT questioning my own actions. I simply replied to the people who stated that "Open Mode doesn't bite outside CG, so go for it". I really want to go Open. Open is fun, meeting nice people but I always meet that one guy, away from any CG zone, who gladly kills me, seeing I'm severly disadvantaged.
Maybe playing on Xbox One is cause of that. I don't know.
Edit: I am sitting mostly in PGs, but there's barely anyone on them to group up with me, either due to timezone or the distance in-game. I already stated that I could log PG while delivering bounties for safety reasons then rejoin Open and the Wing. But I feel that such a behaviour is on borderline of self-cheating.

No insult was meant, I was making an observation and did not intend malice.
You say about being killed because you are perceived to be severely disadvantaged - there are questions that need to be asked there. Have you asked yourself why you are being perceived as such? What is putting you at a disadvantage? Can you overcome it? What could you have done before the interdiction even starts? How do you minimise risk when around a station?
In the event of any misfortune, these are the kind of questions I would be asking myself. In every event, I can find a fault in my own play that I can learn to improve on. I am no-one's victim - I learn, I adapt, I get better.

I got ganked in Ebor on Sunday funnily enough, I was limping back from the HAZ RES with 40% hull, faulty guns and 12 million worth of bounties.
Needless to say I was dead before I could turn and face my attacker, losing my master pilot in the process (who I'd had since harmless).
why did this happen?
1. I was on my own.
2. People are appalling sometimes.
I had the rebuy because I'm not new, I was annoyed sure but its no reason to be actually upset, its a known game mechanic. So I say, shake it off and learn from your mistakes.
I swore I would never CG in open again on my own, as soon as I did I paid for it.
Anyway back to Thargoid hunting for the benefit of all humanity

on windows or Mac if you press CTRL-B or ⌘-B, you get your bandwith meter.....as soon as your received-bandwith spikes above 1.000 kb/s here is another player in the neighbourhood, it will show up sooner than on your radar....

So you are telling me I should return every single bounty kill? Since when killing Harmless Eagle in engineered FDL is not griefing?

yeah it was totally my own fault and I can live with that, sorry I thought that was clear from my post.
The fault in my upbringing must be something odd as I see no pleasure in the pointless slaughter of other players for no other benefit than a giddy giggle, I just think gankers are lame children who should take a long hard look at themselves, but if you can demonstrate it has a value and plays an actual worthwhile role in game I will stand corrected.
For the discussions about the community, other stuff related to the game like astrophysics and so on please use the General talk thread.
