so right now theyre in unrest... this is the 3rd tick of unrest. unrest goes for a max of 7 days, and a minimum of 3.
murder is the most common trigger of unrest, and since AEDC is doing pretty much nothing but murder, ill bet its going to run for the max of 7 days. after that, theyll enter a boom state which lasts for at least 3 days, up to a max of 28.
so anywhere between 7 and 32 days

Tags should have a simple management system: Become 'allied' with a local faction. As long as you are allied with that local minor faction you can select 'display faction allegiance'(...).
Don't you think that idea of choosing IFF of an NPC faction you are Allied with would be dope?
Even if it would be just a cosmetic thing mostly, it would feel heck immersive. Also it would utilize No Faction lackluster, which for now seems to be reserved mostly for folks interested into PP.

ForeignAfroI'm currently 11k+ Ly away from the bubble headed "south." Jump range is approx 55.8ly/jump and I'm squeezing approx. 221ly per jump out of neutron stars. What the furthest "south" anyone has gone? What are the coordinates? Will I be able to plot a route back? I have about 4750ly to go before I reach my coordinates I set for the trip, just wondering if I could potentially go further.
If you check out the Fuel Rats (and other sources) you can get some great advice on how to calculate your fuel consumption so you can push your ship to the ragged edge without finding you just jumped yourself to a star you can't jump back from. The Fuel Rats recently pulled off one of the most amazing rescues of someone who actually broke the record for farthest point. They calculated the heck out of that mission. You might be amazed at how many variables influence your absolute range (both jump and supercruise).
It occurs to me that a nice feature to add to ED would be the ability to jettison one or more Optional Modules in order to drop mass and potentially get ourselves out of a pickle.
