Lyonhaert I like this aspect of having to dip your toes in various things, too. My biggest issue with it is the learning curve of mining seems steeper than the others. With combat and trading, it's pretty easy to see in outfitting which weapons are going to do more damage, which armor protects you better, which cargo racks can carry more, which FSD will jump farther, etc. Most of the modules make it pretty clear what the pros and cons are between any two choices which makes improvements easier to explore. But there are several key bits of information in regard to mining efficiently that you have to either discover for yourself through lots of testing or learn from somebody else. Prospectors being a chief example of that, since the fragment count multiplier they apply to an asteroid is hidden (0.5 increments from 1.5x for Es to 3.5x for As).
Well, and then there are the vids that people have published on the subject. Makes short study of the craft of mining. And looks like we'll get more capability in Chapter 4 (for those so inclined to mining). I think the new scanners are supposed to take a little of the randomness out of mining.

Bernard of TongerenM. LehmanBernard of Tongerenmore animals plox. On that theme id love animals that can run around the cockpit or bridge of our ships
Think of the torrent of heartbreak and salt that would erupt the first time Fifi is violently ejected through the newly-ruptured canopy...
its ok they will have their own space suit and you can scopp them back up :3 that said i dont think my canopy has ever shattered in game xD when ever damage got so bad i just exploded
Woohoo, you've not lived until you limp back to port with a blown canopy, 20 seconds of breathable air and exhausted re-supply materials. I've been there more than a time or two. A real nail-biter. In fact, my nails are bitten all the way up to my wrists.
