My opinion is: thats its a bit underwhelming.
Sure it has some nice hardpoint positions and can house a fighter bay, but does it stand up at all to the Challenger? Is it really that much an upgrade to the Chieften? (feels sluggish by comparison)

thoughts? Ideas? Tips? what is love?



I'd urge you to go with your gut on what ships you like and dislike. Also, piloting skill is a far greater determinant of ship efficacy than raw stats- worry about that first and your ship second!


This is one of those comments that makes me wish Inara had a "like" or "+1" or some other annotator. I am in violent agreement with M. Lehman, so much so that I want to make this agreement known, but have absolutely nothing constructive to add to the conversation - mostly because he's just said all that is needed.

I spent an hour or so today in my python on Robigo -> Sirius Atmospherics (Sothis) and got from about 170m to 209m so I'd say it's still pretty viable. Although I wonder if maybe I should consider facing the dangers of the police for the higher profit of using my type 9 with Hauser's Reach rather than my python with Robigo Mines.

yes it is still good not as before but still very good , further more i suggest a bigger ship with lots of internals (type 7, Phyton, Anaconda etc) and if possible 30 ish ly jump range so you can hop from Robigo to Sothis in two jumps, another thing to max out your profit/time you can take missions that pay more but those people will proly be wanted , you can also go with clean passengers but it will involve some hoping and payout is a bit less.

Greetings. New here. Used to play the original Elite in the 80's. Was stoked to see a few years ago that the Frontier folks created ED. I played for a year or so and then lost interest. Picked it back up last week and got the Horizons add-on. Play on XBox One.

I have played solo primarily. Home base George Lucas / Leesti. I have a Dolphin for passenger runs and a Cobra, soon to be upgraded to a Viper MK IV for bounty hunting.

I *think* I'm pledged to some Federation faction, but I'm not sure.

Was wondering if there were groups of folks that play in this community with some common goals, etc.?
