If you get into Engineering your railguns, strongly consider the Long Range option. Damage falloff is really nasty on them and that mod fixes it completely. Pay attention as well to the experimentals that grant thermal reductions. They are all very good.
Happy railin'.

The PresenceInteresting, I viewed it more as Empire vs Federation....and neither I'm too far out in the black to contribute
I mean its between 2 massive tech companies, with one championing aesthetic and one robustness and customisability

Bernard of TongerenSo, who do you support in the coming CG? Mac or PC?
Neither, I've got more important things to do.

Likewise. Not to mention that I've been to one CG in my entire gaming time so far (the faulty one if anyone remembers where they forgot to put in the correct payouts. Walked home with 221mil on that one. The Top 4 got enough to buy a Corvette and completely A-grade it).

Unless, of course, BGS experts here know how this works already: I had mapped some Bromellite at one of two Haz RESs at HR 913 ABC 7 i. I visited today after a several-week absence to refresh my memory of it and record the map for sharing before mining Bromellite for Bill Turner and for the EIC. But the RESs are entirely different now. When I mapped it, and the last time I'd been there to mine, Traditional HR 913 Defense Force was the controlling faction, but now Zibal Power CO is. I found threads on Frontier's forums indicating that BGS changes can affect the algorithm used to generate RESs.
So my main curiosity now is:
1. Is the change in controlling faction the factor in the RESs being different now?
2. If so, would the same RESs as before come back if control was flipped back to the previous faction?

LyonhaertIf only I knew which player was supporting Zibal Power CO, possibly doing so actively, in HR 913. I'd be interested in arranging an experiment.

RES being changed by the controlling Minor faction (MF) is something I'd hear for the first time. There was a big change with one of FD's updates (think it was 3.0) that shuffled various RES sites around or completely removed some (CNBs as well). It might very well be the case you find the RES's changed now.

PhelboreWhat do you mean you mapped the bromelite?
I believe there are ways to actually map valuable asteroids within an instance. They supposedly refill themselves after a certain amount of time, or so I've been told. No idea if true or not, I'm not as crazy for Mining as I am for BGSing.

Whiplash 1983One trick for the warm-up and release time on Railguns is to pair your loadout with one small fixed beam laser set on the same fire group and pull to use as a laser sight for the rails.
Nice. Simple fix. Why do I always try to over-complicate, lol.
