Yeah, well, I'm one curious commander indeed and wouldn't refuse an invitation to a thargoid party. Actually, the whole story around the Far God sounds like fun. I'd investigate more after I develop enough.

No, I have no intention of becoming a fanatic unless I get brainwashed. It's just to me it seems more exciting to try and understand the Thargoids' motives and maybe even communicate with them, than to mindlessly annihilate them. That is not to say that is not an option if there's a choice between them and humanity.

I can agree with that. I too find the whole dynamic very interesting, and can't wait to see how it plays out.

That said, I kinda dislike the Federal rheotic in regard to Far God cult, if you ask me. True, reverance of Thargoids may sound strange, but executing members just because they do? It's not like all members seem to openly support Thargoids or something.

But if I was CMDR who would believe into a freedom of speech and heard about such a thing -- I'd band up with other CMDRs with similiar beliefs and start bring havoc inside Federal space. I would openly state that "for every Far God Cult member murdered, ten Federation-affiliated ships will be destroyed without mercy".

Either you are a true cradle of freedom, or a regime that should be destroyed - if fail to abide to your own values.

If Earth, Sol, and the entirety is anything like what the US Government was founded on, separation of church and state are at the top of my list. I work for the Federal Navy simply because I want that Corvette, but I agree. Executing people with no grounds or evidence that they are somehow "leading or feeding the Thargoids information" is a crock of manatee poodoo.

Might do the same. A farm in soace for sea critters to be farmed like cabbage isnt nice. Maybe a call to arms to protest this inhumane place might work

Manatees are one of my favorite animals in real life. Even spent some time swimming with them in Florida when I was younger. This CG has me feeling personally attacked, I like that call to arms idea.

Though there is also a CG to collect bounties in the same system to "defend trading"

FDev, I will seek out this megaship and assault it every chance I get!

I'll go damn Far-god on this sucker and drop meta-alloys around it. BRING IT ONNNN

Interesting.

The proposal from a Federal Congress candidate to execute people for their religious beliefs elicits a "kinda dislike" and some mild hand-wringing.

Meanwhile, a manatee farm evokes a call-to-arms, gunships wreaking havoc and megaship assaults.
