StoopidfacePainkillerdani2008@gmail.comGuys I need help. I need to mine osmium to unlock this engineer in colonia. But can't find anywhere to mine this in colonia. Can you guys help
Osmium is found in pristine metallic rings. Not sure if any of these systems are in or around Colonia but I hope this helps:

I can confirm that you can get Osmium in the Colonia region. I can't remember which system/planet I mined it, but pristine metallic rings are definitely correct. I'm back in the Core systems for a bit to do a little more advanced engineering and to unlock the one remaining engineer in Colonia (which of course required me to have a certain level of rep with an engineer in the core systems). And I'm helping my fellow Silverbacks with the war that just started. Otherwise I'd be more than happy to help you search for an appropriate system to get that Osmium.

LivewireI have been to systems with a sun and ether no planets or a couple. would these planets have a station at some point or would they stay without one.
Hello Livewire
That depends on a lot of things and that information is not that readily available, at least as far as I am aware.
How close is the system to other populated systems, are there resources available, are the planets terraformable or even landable, do the planets have rings, asteroid belts?
Ultimately it is frontier that populates the Galaxy, usually they do it for a reason, e.g. Some story based reason, a CG to build a station or a number of other scenarios.
There are 400 Billion systems in the Galaxy. Not all of them can be colonised.
I hope this helps.

I'm still hoping for a lone scientific station orbiting a black hole, though...

LivewireAlso are there many sun without planets at all
Yeah, that's not terribly uncommon. I've come across quite a few myself. Often they're young stars still in the process of formation, which also means they'd still be accreting material around them which will eventually form planets. Of course this is a process that takes millions of years, so it's not something that Frontier Developments can really depict in game.
Or sometimes a star is just a star sitting by its lonesome. Not every star is going to have a planetary system around it.

I would think that a station orbiting a black hole solo would ultimately be a fatal endeavor.

It might, or might not, give it enough distance and you have several hundred years worth of potential scientific data to collect. We already can collect so much data from what they affect here on Earth, imagine how much we could collect if we coudl study it from a few hundred light years from its event horizon. It will of course have all kinds of monitoring and emergency escape plans if the slightest screw begins to show rust but hey.
Also you have star ports orbiting Nutron stars, that can be just as dangeorus IRL

And, If nothing else... Disney could make a rip-roaring adventure movie out of the whole thing!!
