Xeniz But you have to admit that such a thing would be super sexy though. Imagine Donnager sized railguns but fixed.

is this Gravion or Kiddy Grade ref? lol!!
Probably something else I'm just not remembering at the moment.

HarlreyCan you imagine what a huge railgun would do to your own ship? It could cause a blackout on a 8A power plant while instantly raising your heat levels by 200%. It seems to me that a railgun bigger than medium would be too unwieldy to be usefull.

It would be like 50 thermal load for one shot and like 20mw for the distributor draw, but they wouldn't have much left after the shot.... as long as you hit, they don't even bother listing a round velocity. I'm sure that people would make it useful.

"I dunno boss, the ship was there and now it's gone, I only fired once, I guess we can sift through what's left for the cargo..."

Donnager is a reference to The Expanse. The entire battle sequence for that ship might have made me hot under the collar.

RenraikuHello WilliamReace

The Python would be a wise investment. It beats the AspX and the Clipper hands down for capacity and pad options, even a Krait MKII would be a fine option.

Fly Dangerously

I totally agree with the Python. I know some commanders swear by the Krait, but I had one for a couple of months and even engineered it. But that thing flies like a scow compared to the Python, and I just find the Python better at versatility. I ditched both my AspX and Krait and concentrated on the Python. If it weren't for the fact that you're stuck with a limited military slot, I'd recommend a Chieftain, too. Engineered, that thing spins circles around the enemy, fits a medium pad, and would have decent storage capability otherwise. The tough thing for some people on the Python, though, is the left seat command chair. It doesn't bother me at all, but I've heard plenty of commanders whine about it. Of course, if you're gunning for a Cutter, it's a right-seater, so that's probably not an issue for you anyway.

Gotta say, I'm a fan of the show. Not quite a replacement for my beloved Firefly, but I'm glad Amazon picked up the show.

help? I was trying to expand inlfuence to take a place over. It's 20% from the controlling faction. I went back to my current homebase and there are expansion missions, but to bring the data to random places, not the place im trying to get. Will that benefit the places im bringing the data to or will it increase influence in the place im trying to get?

No problem with my seats, just was an interesting observation at the time, since it didn't seem to have any effect at all on my ability to steer...

I got the Python, i'ts mostly fitted up today, just two modules left to a-rank. Already over 50% rep [and mostly been choosing the credit reward for the Python bits] towards the last rank for the Cutter, it's very near....
Seems to be advancing much faster using the python, since I can get into those medium pads with it for the missions.

Yes the Cutter is my goal for the time being, once I have it and get it all sorted for fittings the way I want, then I'll install another goal. HAHA!

"please exercise caution, heavy traffic detected"....
I'm actually surprised it even had an open landing pad inside an orbis starport .... LOL

I mean, that was the first time I've ever seen a ship at every single pad after entering the mailslot, yet it still found a place for me.

on a more stickey sidenote, why does the ai ABSOLUTELY HAVE to interdict you at the sun, EVERY TIME .... it invariably leads to both of you getting forced out in separate sectors of space for getting "too close" to the giant ball of burning fire. and thus depriving them any chance of their quarry or of you getting the credits for making them explode first.

The play the off chance you submit or get a quick succes full interdiction.
The main factor is when its succesfull you stuck in the heat aura of the sun/star your FSD wind up will get extremly hot your weapons and shield recharges. will do make the heat problem even more of an isue using thrusters and boosters also will make you over heat faster.

Up to the point your cargo bay malfunctions and drops your cargo.

Frontiers NPC AI programmer i forgot her name did use a lot of player tactics and how commanders would fly.

From your description, I haven't a clue what you're trying to do, tbh.

If you could provide more detail, including the system and faction, you will likely get some good advice

Well, good job to her/them on the programming.
However, since I always check the ai's combat rating before I ever submit, they won't get me that way.
The sun interdict almost always ends up with us getting dropped due to proximity, so neither I nor the AI are in the same "sector" of space.
The ones that don't get trapped by the sun normally involve me getting away, or submitting and blowing them up. Haven't had an issue with overheating from any such encounter yet.

I did get in real close to a star once, 68% heat or so, and turn so my tail was to the center of the star; then watched as the AI orbited the star waiting for my tail to get off of it so they could interdict me. I thought that was some nifty programming. Normally they'd just fly straight into the star from most often seen bad programming, haha!!

Never have any problems with left-seating myself because most of the world drives their cars that way. Middle seating (Asp) also feels normal. Good to know the Cutter would be a right-seater, so aside of me disliking the pompous appearance of all things Imperial that's the Icing on the cake not to ever want one.

Left seating is normal for me. I have more issues with the cutter seating but you get used to it after a day or 2

And still the python can do it all . krait is nice but nothing beats the python .in cargo armour and versatility .
