Mo RonikYeah, if I had a combat ship I'd go join the battle. My Cobra is still in the building stage. The closest next thing I have for combat is an Eagle with minimal jump range I built for bounty hunting in my home system.

Cobra MkIII shines with Guardian Shield Reinforcements. they take some effort to unlock but they are well worth it.

Never underestimate the Cobra!

I have a question ED fam. I was flying around in my Krait and was interdicted, I submitted thinking it was an NPC, as I got into position I noticed that it was a dolphin, it deployed hard-points and opened fire. I was able to maneuver a bit but as I began to return fire the last thing I remember is that it fired some green thing at me and killed me instantly.... Needless to say I was salty and embarrassed by this. But what the heck was that?! It penetrated my shields and then wiped me out. Also where can I get one of those

That sounds like Phasing Experimental on lasers, possibly even Cytoscrambler Burst lasers, Phasing does 10% of a lasers damage to hull through shields, however if you skipped "Hull Day" and only have lightweight with no HRP's you will die pretty quickly to Phasing lasers, even if you have a half decent amount of Armour you are in for a bad day with Phasing Cytoscramblers in the hands of a Good Pilot.

Unengineered Cytoscramblers do lots of damage to Shields but almost nothing to Hull, however convert that massive damage to shields to include 10% to hull through shields and you have a devastating combination at close range as they have terrible accuracy (Jitter).

Hint: Don't Skip Hull Day! (rule of thumb, having a minimum of 10-20% of your Shield value as Hull Strength will make this much less likely.

Cytoscramblers can be obtained through PowerPlay when Pledged to Archon Delaine for 28 days and unlocked at Merit Rank 3.

What is Hull Day?

And yes he/she was very close to my ship when they fired it. Im still very new to Horizons, but is the new Engineer stuff?

Right let's start from scratch.

You can upgrade the armour plating of your ship from Lightweight Armour (standard) to Reinforced, Military, Mirrored or Reactive options, please look these up under Outfitting>Armour here on Inara for specific values.

You can also purchase Hull Reinforcement Packages that fit in your Optional Internal Module slots to increase your Hull value (Integrity).

"Hull Day" Is the day you buy your ship, first thing you do is buy better armour or add HRP's or optimally both.

Engineering is no longer new. It has been revamped relatively recently but it is by no means new.

Let me put this as plainly as possible. Engineering will increase the Survivability of your ship up to ~1000%, more or less depending on your configuration. It will also increase your damage potential by up to ~200%, more or less depending on configuration.

The Engineer 'Grind' is worth it. even if you want to play by yourself in solo.

Hey Thanks for the tips, checked the Krait out and I have a HRP but have the Lightweight armor on. So will need to change that.

And Thank you very much for the info

Your welcome.

Just remember you can engineer almost everything.

If you have other question please join the Inara Discord (invite on the right below all the names)

We can get to your queries quicker there.

So apparently, if your sensors are offline (I turned mine off to test something) it does absolutely nothing for effect on supercruise, but prevents you from asking the station you just dropped out at for docking permission because you have no contacts, HAHA.

Well, it probably removed all the signal sources and other ships in supercruise, but it didn't effect the stars or planets or ports.

I guess your sensors also includes your radio. :p

James HussarEek! The Fuel Rats are in trouble?!

REDDIT INFO LINK

Great fun helping out there the past days and meeting some really good people.
- NOTE -
The gankers have arrived and begun this evening. In the zones and blockading the station.
A good man lost his Corvette  and the 8.5 mil 90=count MM ticket he worked so long and hard on with the return to station interdiction. Spendy amusements. Myself I just lost a Krait, but my crew pilot was off ship which was lucky.
