First, how long is the jump range on your ship? And two, there is a maximum distance that can be plotted out. If you're staying inside the bubble that shouldn't be a problem. (you may have some filters applied as well that might be goobering up plot routing)
You may want to discuss with your squadron commander of the 9th legion on how best to get you set up in their home system. Sorry I wasn't more helpful.

K. LeonidasCMDR Stryker Aune, my ship is: Sidewinder, ID: KL-28S, Jump Range: 7.51 (&.79) LY . As far as the distance goes I'm not sure. Where do i find that information?

7.51 probably isn't going to be enough. You're going to have to get a better FSD before venturing out that way.

K. LeonidasAloha CMDR Phelbore, thank you for that information. I'll work on it but its going to be a slow process, and get some funds to get a better one to make that flight there.

Best thing to do in a System to build up your REPutation quick is to take Missions and choose that option (assuming the Mission offers such in the first place). You might find it easier to do so with Superpower-aligned Minor factions (MF) contrary to independent ones.
Once Allied you should be getting Missions that pay well (depending on your abilities and Ship set-up).
It may take a bit to get to your new Squadron but you'll arrive with a well equipped ship

Quite welcome. If you can even get to 15ly and a fuel scoop you can get anywhere in the bubble. Stack courier missions in the local area, as many as are offered at a tine from one station, run them all. Go back for another batch and you should be set in a couple hours.

Mo RonikIf you have your first 1000 credits, what I did was give back the cargo rack and purchase the E rated fuel scoop. Now you can stop at scoopable stars on your way to scoop more fuel. Run as many data delivery and courier missions in your local cluster of stars so you can upgrade your frame shift drive. Upgrade the power plant as well to run the more power hungry modules. Upgrade the thrusters next for better escape speed. Then D rate your sensors, life support and power distribution as that will lighten up your ship and give you even better jump range. I'd even consider dumping the pulse lasers to lighten the load at this point which will give even greater jump distance. Then recheck your route on the galaxy map and smile because you can get where you want to go with relative ease now. Module upgrades for a Sidewinder are not that expensive and you can probably do all this in just a couple days of casual playing. Here is my Sidewinder, MSS Sunrise, as she sits now so you can see how much more you can get out of it with a few simple upgrades. https://s.orbis.zone/-qc I keep her in the fleet because I still enjoy just going out and doing data delivery and courier missions from time to time. It's only 26 seconds to fill my fuel tank if I'm running on empty after I've turned 40ly's but I pretty much scoop at every scoopable star between jumps and it's usually just a few seconds and I'm off again.
Aloha Mo Ronik, thank you a lot for your valuable info., I'll do that as you have mention it.

Stryker AuneROWNDCan anyone tell me the current system Gnosis is in? I went out exploring and suspect I missed the latest jump, so I probably need to catch up to it.
If the wiki is correct, it should be here
NGC 7822 Sector BQ-Y d12 until the 29th
LOL, that is 12 LY from where I had logged out

I don't think they are going to change the way the USS's spawn, I think they are going to add that you can additionally Scan for them with the new interface instead of only "running" across them.
But they still have a spawn/respawn/despawn timer.

XeknosWould it be worth it to grind engineering mats now? Or better to wait for 3.3 and the changes to how USS(es?) spawn?
You should always be collecting mats through passive gameplay anyway.... its only when you're missing something specific do you grind for certain mats, or use a mat trader to balance out what you don't need for what you do.
