SakashiroNot trying to discourage you, but you will get tired of the procedural galaxy. Just a matter of time.

I concur. For me the breaking point was going to Semotus Beacon during the Great content drought. After covering some distance you start to feel the urge to get back... Especially with so many action and opportunities going nowadays in the bubble.

Oh good it's not just me. Wanted to go exploring a couple months ago so I grabbed a ship and went out there with the plan to go to Colonia for a second time and Sag A and Beagle Point for the first time. Then one of my friends picked up the game and I listened to him doing everything but exploration in the bubble and I turned that ship around as fast as I made the choice to depart. And now several friends got the game so I get teach and help some newbros instead of travelling the unknown.

I was just thinking about going exploring.

I found that worrying about losing your ship before you can cash in your exploration data took a lot of the enjoyment out of long distance voyages, so I didn't tarry on my way to and from Semotus Beacon (this was just before fleet carriers). Next time I explore I intend to head to specific areas and properly take in the sights - it doesn't help that there is relatively little to see once you get beyond Sagittarius A* heading towards Beagle Point.

I guess that time depends on the individual... I'm 3 years or so in and still enjoy not actually knowing what I'll find on the next jump... Even found an ELW in a 'M Class' system with no secondary.

Others can be bored in weeks - just enjoy it while it still has mystery.

You are kind of missing the point of this game. I hear so many people complaining that gankers dont get punished for their actions, it is up to the player base to punish the gankers. If half the people I hear complaining actually learned how to fight and joined together against the outlaws the galaxy would be a much safer place. Saying "gankers bad" on reddit or on Inara or on the forums does nothing for anyone. Here go join the fight.

IMO, if you want to engage in PvP because it is what you want to do and you enjoy it, then more power to you.  If you let someone else dictate how you play ED by their actions, you are only encouraging them to continue with the behavior you objected to in the first place.  The best response to a ganker is to block/ignore them because they are feeding on your response, whether that is to complain or take up a crusade against them.

Play the game YOU want to play, that is the best response to any other player and the best revenge for any ganker.

You think you are getting revenge by blocking? Blocking breaks instancing so the more players you block the harder it is for you to instance with anyone. The ganker isnt missing out on not getting to gank you a second time. However, this is exactly the attitude I would expect from Ghost Legion, complain about gankers and do absolutely nothing about it.

I heard exploring is for suckas.

The thing about exploring: Everyone wants to do it to make sure something gets their name on it. The problem with it is though that most people always pick routes that others already flew along, like Sag A*, Colonia or one of the nebulas as final destination. Rarely do people go off these paths. And because of this I'm pretty sure that a lot of stuff, even in or near the bubble, have gone unnoticed yet, like that abandoned settlement that was found only a few weeks ago.

I got 2nd account but not for that reason. Exploration is as exciting as mining for me.
Just the letter you can end at any time.

Seems informative and helpful. It tells you what the squadron does, what it allows, who it supports, and where it is based. It's good.

o7 CMDR!

Overall, it looks fine.

Two thoughts:

You have what looks like a Thargoid figure in your insignia, but I don't see much about that other than "anti-xeno activist" in the lower right hand column. Is AX a significant part of what you do? Also, I saw that you are a "Researcher/Xenobiologist" Whatever your Thargoid stance, you might want to talk it up more, or tie the graphic into who you are if it's important to you.

At the risk of sounding like an English teacher, " barring griefers and gankers, who are strictly forbidden. " is a little redundant. I might leave it as "except griefers and gankers".

Best of luck.

Good to know, I'll keep that in mind! I may add some Xeno Squadron Missions soon due to this.
