I just fought a SpecOps Python in a CZ which had some sort of blue beam laser that went right through my shields. Wtf? I know there's the phasing sequence experimental effect for pulse lasers that makes some of the damage bleed though shields, but this was something else, as it did not seem to affect the shields at all, and it was definitely a beam. I managed to stay out of the Python's line of fire most of the time, yet by the time I was done with it, my hull was down to 67%!

Whatever that was, I want it too!

Voice chat or text chat?  I've never had a problem with text chat.  For voice we try to get our squadron to use Discord.

Text chat. I've been unable to use system, DM, or squad chat for days but it seems in the dead of night it returns to normal only to go for a fritz come next morning. I don't believe my squadron folk use discord but typically we don't need it a whole lot anyways. Nobody uses voice comms. Wing chat has been my workaround recently as I can use that and local chat. Really wish it'd be fixed soon, lonely open play and hard to communicate with others when more than 3 other folk of my squad are online.

You should direct this to Frontier Developments on their Official Forums. Artie has no control over the games mechanics.

Fair enough, I have never had this issue. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

It may also prove fruitful to search the official forums for similar issues, perhaps someone could shed some light there too.

EpisparhWell. x3 is a damn deal for my newb char. I got 1.2mil hauler and went to do some r2r. So tier 3 means he will get 330 mil instead of 110 mil.

Yes to Claude's point. We have to hand in a load of ammonia world data and then hand in some more to get the bonus payouts. So hold onto your data if you can Epi! I see a lot of exploring in my future! Prof Palin and Chole Sedesi here I come!

Totally effective unless your opponent has:

1) eyes
2) rails

Hiding under the bridge with hull tank in silent running is very effective. Auto-resolve distance for medium ship is around 500m. (300 for small and 800 for large)

And Zentzlb is smart to block direct visual with station structure.

On a completely different topic:
Cat-piss CG reached tier 4. Xander will be rich Sob. \o/

Pretty sure that distance is also greatly dependent on the heat of the ship. Some ships can be very hard to resolve even without SR such as the DBX just because they run so cold.

I am not sure this is the case. DBS is the  most cool running of all ships but when SR is engaged it all falls down to auto-resolve values which are constants per ship size.
