Again, it's very much like war in RL, but it also makes the game very non-casual. If you find that your build doesn't perform as well as you expected, it's back to the drawing table and another round of gathering materials. I once joked that ED is just a companion app; most of the game happens on coriolis.io or edsy.org.

Well, not most but definitely much, probably too much compared to other games. Personally, I spend much time laying out builds, especially combat ones. In the end, you will have to test and this means grinding for mats. It helps you though to rule out combos that cannot be effective.
Edit: I always support that pvp combat is highly situational; you do not control the rules of engagement so you might be dragged into a fight that is highly unfavorable for the current ship & loadout. Intelligence comes into play

Sparlin007Here's my strategy for filling up on most manufactured materials.
1. Go to a station with a manufactured material trader.
2. figure out how much of each material you want to have, minimum. I go with 50, but 30-40 is more realistic.
3. Trade upwards, leaving the minimum* of each material.
4. Take combat missions of any kind.
5. Collect the remains of your victims.
6. repeat 3-5

Plain bounty hunting at RES or CNB can serve that purpose, too. Or undermining, if you are doing powerplay. That way you do not have to chase signals, which can be annoying if they are 10+ kls away. But you also do not get g5 materials as mission reward.

Igneel PrimeWhile that is true, I think FSD fast boot in Combat is more of a little extra. It's not like that's the one thing you can do to your ship that makes you so much more effective. That aside... gotta love people who come into games with a massive technical advantage, be that their in-game end game equipment or rl 3k gaming rig, and then brag about how skilled they are when defeating less advanced players.

I don't think you'll find a single military commander that would argue unnecessarily fighting fair is a good idea. Love them or hate them if a Ganker picks a fight where they have the advantage then they are arguably more skilled in this regard than the seals failing to avoid the interaction to begin with.

A little context:
Xbox Series X
1Gbps speed 700-1k depending on house activity
Upload 6-12 fixed by system
Replication: Spontaneously kicked me sitting random "cobra" errors sometimes when exiting hyper space or cruising, sometimes when leaving a station.
Its getting to the point where this is 100000x worse issues then I had during prerelease for ark.
I've reinstalled the game to try and see I'd this helps (no changes)
Ideas?

While correct there is one problem with that. The difference between rl and a video game. We play games for entertainment not to prove ourselves as best tactician or whatnot else. Even EVE players understand that concept and they're known for overdoing those kinda things. It's like a sport not a real war that's why fair fights are something that people bother with.

SuperFrogXAnyone has good build for Anaconda (or what is best option) for passenger missions? I got one for Python, but still undecided if that is what I want to build for this. (That would be 3rd Python, as I already have 2 pythons , one multipurpose and other core / sub-surface mining)
what type of passenger missions ?

Yes, RES and CNB can serve the same purpose (I overlooked those), but some mission rewards do offer g5 materials if you're lucky and hard-working. If they don't give g5, you can still trade upwards using those materials. That's why I added "repeat 3-5", instead of 4-5.

If I recall correctly Robigo Mines is an outpost isn't it?

Actually, no. The world of Elite is a combination of Simulator and MMORPG. The reasons we play it are consequently diverse. Some 'DO play it to be the best tactician or whatnot else'. Frankly, joining Open by default means to some extent you want to play that aspect of the game and getting angry at the Gankers for not fighting fair just seems like ire at being outplayed. Don't get me wrong, it's very understandable. I hate it too, but, I do so while admitting to myself that it's my own fault when I have to pay for rebuy regardless of the circumstances.
If people wanted to just play Elite for entertaining space combat that is fair they can easily join CQC. That is what it's there for, but few do precisely because of how little the stakes are, and more notably, how predictable it is.
