It’s a little unclear, TBH. I dumped a batch of data on them today and got a sizable return, which I think was related to the tier level. However, I don’t believe it was a 3x payout. I’m not actually sure when the initiative is ending - in my mind it ends in the next couple of days, so I don’t see how the increased payouts tie in.

I’ll look into it again tomorrow. I’m not really concerned either way, myself: I’ve so far exceeded the DSS reward threshold, and money is not too tight. I’m wondering if the engineered DSS will be any better...

OK, but there are 2 days left for the CG. So this is where it gets confusing: the tier advances due to contributions, but payout levels are determined from 11th, when the tier level reached is finalized.

Waitaminute....

Basically, we need to contribute like crazy BEFORE end date to push the tier level, and then have MORE data to contribute to take advantage of the initial push. Or something.

I need sleep. 4 hours a day does not cut it anymore.

Well. x3 is a damn deal for my newb char. I got 1.2mil hauler and went to do some r2r. So tier 3 means he will get 330 mil instead of 110 mil.

Yes to Claude's point. We have to hand in a load of ammonia world data and then hand in some more to get the bonus payouts. So hold onto your data if you can Epi! I see a lot of exploring in my future! Prof Palin and Chole Sedesi here I come!

There’s the rub  :D Here I am, slaving away all day over a hot stove in a smelly cockpit and some nondescript spacehiker profits.

ETA: all good , though. I’m blacking out again tomorrow, so should hopefully help push to tier 4 and have more data for payout after the fact as well.

I just got back from a weekend expedition to BD+83 357. A system only accessible from a carrier. The system itself was a glitchy mess, but the journey there was sort of pretty. Exploration and scanning going to be boring for a little while.  :D

Absolutely wild seeing Commanders pushing fleet carriers to the limits and getting stuff like this accomplished. I wonder how many more systems there are out in the black that we need a carrier to reach or can’t get to yet.

In a dark, but serene experience. I let the carrier leave without me. I was the only one left in that system knowing there was no way I could leave. So... I pointed towards the sun and shut down systems, including life support.

Anyone have any idea when FDev will fix the comms issues? It seems like I'm only able to use sys/dm/squad chat at like 3am when everyone is offline. Such a shame.

Well they're certainly good at soft power projection. It conveys the Empire's wealth, culture and confidence (that gravity ring is a huge weakpoint - it takes a lot of confidence to flaunt that) very effectively.

Honestly, frontier did a good job designing the Majestic Class Interdictors and the Farragut Class Battlecruisers; they both neatly fit their respective superpowers in terms of aesthetic, priority, and function.

SakashiroI love the rebalanced combat! Just killed a NPC pirate Corvette and earned a 1.25 million Cr bounty voucher. If I hadn't chosen the REP+++++ mission reward, there would have been another 1.1 million Cr on top of that. With payouts like these I'll never have to touch a mining laser again.
