NuzioOk, so I just tried participating in a civil war thing, and I got my shit rocked. Is there a general idea of when you're ready to participate these kind of events? Because the missions I'm pretty SURE said Harmless but I was running into experts and deadly and Dangerous with the various competent here and there, and even the competent was tough to beat. Could be mistaken. Could also just be my current ship isn't up to the task?
If you were flying in your listed Cobra, I’d say you were pushing your luck a little. An E-rated shield is fairly useless, for one thing. I’m also questioning your use of burst lasers over pulse lasers, but that could just be personal preference.
If I were you, I’d wait a little before entering combat zones and stick to low or normal res sites until you’re adept at flying and have some money to at least upgrade your shields.
I’m sure there are others who would also crit your build a bit - I don’t know if you really need an interdicter at this stage....

Ayckwith the recent balancing, new entries do not have to mine to get credits anymore.... works for me just fine.
37mil for a 10 mins courier run is just way profitable and fun instead shooting at rocks.
And some mission interdictor kills will sum up to 40mil easy.
With a fat bank account, i have more time for other entertainments now.
all Iwas wanting was to spend a couple of calm hours shooting rocks in some small corner of the Galaxy to run home and sell for between 40 -60 mill..
just a calm gentle afternoon of mining... ( i did find in the Alexandrite hot spot - void opels a lot of them. - go figure)

Chalk it up to those Witches in Witch-space.

Synthya WylderI see red on some of those spikes... death by impalement?
Zactly! My poor SRV got violated!
Thanks for noticing - that was the effect I was going for. Actually it's just my brake lights, but the effect was too good to pass by

SmalooFor the current CG, do you have to Surface Scan the ammonia worlds you find for them to count? Or can you just find them on the FSS?
Surface scan will net you a lot more credits. A LOT more.

If I wanted to pilot a flying warehouse, it'd be the Type-10. I like the idea of 'porcupine'.

I considered it, but the price smarts, not to mention the turreted weapons I’d need, because there is no way in hell I’d be able to keep anything more agile than dead Capital ship in my sights for any period of time.

Man, you can do more than this with type 10. Check Rui depression channel on youtube for quality type 10 content, lol.

For the CG, an FSS scan will net you 1 point, a detailed surface scan will net you 3 points. And as stated you get way more in credits for a surface scan.
My tactic has been to pick a distance that you are willing to travel from the star (say 2000 ls), and if it is further than that, just FSS the amonia and jump out to the next one, i've managed to get into the top 10 in a couple of hours doing this.
Another peice of advice is to be in Solo when you jump into the station to cash it in - i got blown up by a ganker the first time i entered the system.
