Anyone having problems with mining after this morning's update? I spent an hour and a half with 3 lazers and 7 collectors in an LTD hotspot and got a grand total of...

Don't know if anybody has posted this... FSS scanner not working properly, when scanning planet with features it shows the first resource
then the second resource then it goes back to the first resource then the second AGAIN
Then on to the third.. it's just a waste of time.

El CG no llegó al Nivel 5, por lo que no obtendremos el DSS a menos que nos quejemos y FDev se invierta.

You should get the DSS (if in top 75%), the tier 5 was required just for the tier 5 global reward. It was just a little bit confusing in the goal description.

Efficient is an engineering mod that lowers thermal load of weapons. If that is not an option do not fire the cannons with empty WEP capacitor

@Sir Sprockett: some builds need engineering to work well. As Epi says ‘Efficient’ engineering would help. Also swapping small lasers for Beam Lasers and applying ‘thermal conduit’ special effect to ‘efficient’ or ‘long range’ engineering. I notice you have a Plasma fitted which will increase heat big time when in use.
I also notice you do not have some key engineers as yet unlocked - Todd the Blaster for one, The Dweller for another - both you would need to modify your weapon loadout.

Oh, and The Dweller will allow you to engineer your Power Distributor (charge enhanced with cluster capacitors is a good option) which will help a lot.

thank you both. I am just unlocking more engineers.. need to do some running about...

I also just bought a T9- Defender... pricy to kit out... so I have parked it for the time being and am gonna focus on engineering...

but thank you. What engineering would you do for shields?

I usually go with ‘Reinforced’ for shields, special effects I vary to find what works best - you can easily change the special without further base engineering.

Creamy Goodness IIIWhen ever people talk about Elite powers, the are talking about Feds or Imps.
If ya remind them of the Alliance, they glaze over for a second for realisation to set in and then say "Oh yes, and them.. . Anyway, the Federation. .."

Alliance is such a non event because they have no unlocks or personality.

With Feds ya think SPACE AMERICA and Imps ring with Kings Queens and shady dealings behind the throne. Alliance is like.. .. hippies? Didn't they wanna make peace with the Thargoids or something?

They got as much background as the other 2, but it's so open to interpretation, no one cares.
Ok, some people do, but not many.

At least with the other two, they got an identity that you can get to grips with just from the name.. .. even if it is inaccurate.



Thare's a lot FDev needs to do to give the alliance a more notable presence in game. They have Capital ships in the lore, so why don't they deploy them? I would say things seem to be moving that way, with Lakon seemingly become increasingly partisan to the Alliance - we may see a CG that could lead to them become the official shipbuilders of their navy.

That said, lore wise I think the Alliance is intentionally sneaky - kind of designed to be forgotten about - to stay in the background. They are ALWAYS positioning themselves by the Thargoids, are clearly trying to benefit from or control human interraction with that species. Doesn't seem they are in it for peace either, with their further colonization of the dark sector. Kinda like their GalCop predecessors, the Alliance is VERY sneaky about SOMETHING, and aren't what they appear on the surface, that much is true.
