I don't think the massacre missions are worth the effort. The assassination missions however are different. Since they're more a hit and run format you can make 4.5mil + target bounty in a 10 minute adventure going in and out. I could probably fit a Vette for them but I prefer my Cutter. Same targets as your first encounter. 1 FDL and 2-3 Vultures
Sorry my bad, it might been assassination...the target was the FDL - the reward was 31 mil.
SakashiroSynthya WylderI'm curious if the NPCs also have Engineered modules/builds.
SpecOps NPCs in conflict zones are usually engineered. I sometimes encounter Vultures with shield-bypassing lasers. Can't have those without engineering.
Usually high ranked NPCs have engineering and it is a random combination which sometime is garbage but sometime is big pain.
31mil sounds like massacre. No ass missions giving those rewards. The FDL and Vultures tho are definitely ass targets. Kinda confused about that. Ass targets are definitely engineered. Not sure if it's phasing sequence or internal impact but my Cutter doesn't care lol.

The thing is that even with highly engineered ship - you should carefully pick your fights even being just PvE. Especially, if you are high ranked in combat as this is the decisive factor of how tough the enemy NPCs will be.

Oh and as for defence... 2.5k hull and 7.9k raw shield strength. and because the missiles draw barely anything from the distributor I fly with 4-1-1 pips for max tank

I am over a month new and having trouble locating items - one such item is bying Meta -alloys. I saw that there were some for a cheap price on a carrier but could not land on it. Do private carriers require special invite or be there at the right time?
another question was I recently loss a battle and my cockpit was pierced (through the glass it showed a big cracked hole in the middle of my view (was not so glorious). Is there a recovery for this? I was losing O2 but was able to fly the ship. Is there a recovery?
- I did not instantly die then this happened and had this countdown until oxygen depleted... and then I died.

a ship reboot after a good kicking tends to fix most things.. What module rating is your life support (core internal) that can be upgraded for longer oxygen supply...
I am sure there are other solutions...

I will ask about the cockpit failure however
Crack in cockpit canopy: Repair Limpets. Missing O2 - with materials for synthesis, you can recharge your O2 supply.
Best stop by your nearest repair facility & get those friendly repair crew to fix all you can ASAP!

I am afraid the only recovery is to land on a station .. and repair it there.

You can buy Meta-alloys at Darnielle's Progress in Maia. Quantities are very limited. I generally ignore fleet carriers for buying and selling. Many are set to squadron only or friends & squadron only.
Canopy breaches require you to depend on your life support module. The higher rated your life support module is, the longer you can last without a canopy. If you have gathered iron and nickel materials, you can synthesize replacement oxygen for your life support from the right-hand panel. If you haven't gathered any ... you should.
Entering a station will restore atmosphere while you are in the station. It would be wise to repair while you are there.
If you canopy is *cracked* but not broken, repair limpets can help.
