Is it just me or is the EDDB Commodities listing way off these days? OR are the prices different in console and PC? I am on PS4 btw.

So where do you get the latest info on what to mine? Just got back to mining after a looong stint in exploring. EDDB showed high pices for Monazite and Musgravite but is it still Void Opals and LTD's that get you the best credits?

VO's & LTD's can still get a 'reasonable' sell price, but the 'stupid price' days are all but gone.  You may find 'better' prices offered for those 2 minerals at the market of a Tourist economy, preferably one which has a Public Holiday in progress.

Otherwise Platinum seems a reasonably solid profit to be made, but not in the 'many 1,000s'.

It depends on your own consideration what constitutes a 'fair' price for your efforts - even picking up the lesser minerals can provide good income if the station you visit has a "Mine XXX tons of Y for Z credits" mission or two being offered.

The Miner's Tool: Miner's Tool Could also be helpful.

Ya, Musgrav and Mona sold for half what the Miners Tool said they would. Checked two different stations and got the same thing. Made maybe 20mil an hour deep core that way, but made 30/40 mil an hour in my mining cutter getting Paynite. Not sure where people are mining their credits up now a days, but my old standbys are maybe a third as effective as they used to be.

so there I am running around the Alioth controlled systems, doing various bounty missions and courier data missions , to get my Alioth system permit (some nice trading profits to be found in there).

I take on all and every data courier mission I can find. I stack them up and head out in my Imp Courier "All Right Guv?" and start jumping around all the local systems delivering data and completing the missions. All very standard.

15 systems visited, 15 mission accomplished. I check my Galaxy Map and see no Blue mission tags. I go to my contracts screen and see that I still have 2 contracts outstanding! I am confused I go back to the Galaxy map and zoom out too see where these 2 data delivery missions need their data delivered to too. I can not see it in the bubble.

Ratraii I type into the route finder on my Galaxy map, it pings with that "I know were your going" sound and starts zooming across the galaxy map.

I have 6 days to jump 22,000 light years to deliver 2 courier missions. I am not one to Abandon missions, and I have been been meaning to travel there as I have engineer invitations to access.

So I have stripped out "I was Never Here" My Asp X got the range up to 45 light yr and am heading from Gateway at the end of writing this..

I do love the spanners this game occasionally throws you. Nothing like a lockdown challenge.

made it am now uinlocking engineers and building a Krait Phantom explorer and then I am going to come back over the next month - doing some serious exploring ... o7 cmdr

Spent a long time mining. Well I've spent 36 yrs as a space trucker and only now am I looking to do something else, Exploration, mining, huh, I've just purchased a Krait MKII and outfitted this thing as a Mining ship, surface though of course, you understand. I've never done mining but its never too late to make some money, naturally but Bounty Hunting... Ooooh yeeaahhh, I love my Bounty Hunting. I take my Medusa out, they laugh and then I get my paycheque makers out, then my targets cry, wail, beg and then, well they freeze. It's cold without your ship.
So mining really that good or really that boring?
I'm in Pleiades at the mo checking out our dear friends the Thargoids and boy, he or she was so loud, I nearly made some brown gifts in my seat. I said "Hi y'all" and then they turned their backs on me. How rude! Well any how, I turned my ship around, I can't get use to how fast this Krait turns round, it's so fast. I spilt my Port n Lemonade damn it, all over the cat. We caught up to our friends and I tried to say hi again but they kept going but then the Port n Lemonade must off dribbled down my electronics cause my weapons deployed and we'll, those Thargoids, they didn't like seeing what I got. They started spitting at me, well some sort of fire. I said "Hey" they answered back with something, hundreds of them... Well I said, let's do this, let's face up to the challenge... I pressed that button so hard, we boosted right past them and my FSD came online in seconds... I'm crazy but I'm not brave either, hell I got out so fast my eyeballs got stuck to my headrest for a moment or two...
So anyway, how long you been mining for again?

You won't find me in Anarchy systems. I made 90 million yesterday in three trips selling Silver to my High Tech Faction in Yembo.

By leveraging certain economies of scale the Elysium Corporation is able to pay much higher returns than Piracy ever could. (So I've been told!)

Interested parties can make an application.
