SakashiroLasers don't need ammo, and turrets can keep firing forever, sometimes with just one pip to WEP. So instead of aiming, you focus on keeping your ship behind your target. This way they can't hit you, but you hit them all the time. Works against big ships, unless they have turrets, too.

Sounds boring - try vulture with pacifiers. Oh, the joy of staying in black spot of anaconda and deleting it with 4-5 reloads ...

Synthya WylderI use pulse laser turrets with great effect on my T-10.

Type-10 is AKA common newbie trap

P. S.  Bounty hunting CG is over. Made 42 mil - 30 of which were with Ward.

I must agree with you re: Vulture. I’ve got a similar build to yours, just with plasmas, and a tiny cargo hold and collector limpet controller to pick up mats. Great fun

The T10 can be a beast if engineered and tanked, especially with a good mix of turrets and forward fire weapons. I often stack "Assasinate" missions and just literally sit there spinning and devastating  pitates. If one, or even 4 small + medium ones become a challenge i pop a heatsink and shield booster and just sit there again or boost out and repair modules. Since the weekend i have made over half a billion in stacked assasinate (5Day for wing) bounties and "get this pirate" missions.

I am sure for PvP it is not optimal but i would recommend it for anyone who wants a pirate bashing machine. It has worked for me for Mine-a-bounty too.. basically it has enough hardpoints to mine and bash, pick a hotspot, drop in but stay by the no-masslock.. someone will come along.. kill them.. go mining.. quit have a break and do the same (or go re-arm). If they become too much just jump out and go back in, as something that big does not masslock easy.
If you have a bounty mission on pirates in the system it can add to the mining fun.

Is there a third party resource for repairs? Like the Fuel Rats but to fix my ship. My sensors are shot and the last thing I want to do is have to self destruct. Please help, SOS CMDR in need! o7

Yeah, search for the Hull Seals

Have you tried to reboot your ship?

The Hull Seals can repair hull damage and help with gathering mats in the case of a canopy breach out in the black, but they can’t repair modules. Epi’s suggestion of a reboot and repair is the way to go. Right AI panel under the ‘Ship’ tab look for ‘reboot/repair’ option and select it. The systems shut down and some integrity is sacrificed by healthy modules to bring damaged ones back on-line. Your sensors should then work well enough to get to a station or Fleet Carrier for repair.

I think repair limpets can repair also canopy given that it is not broken.(I never had a chance to test it but found this information on several common knowledge sources)

kbm+ammoless+stacking pirate massacres, there's no vulture that can stay behind an eagle. but at 6km win.

I do not know mate, usually what I get in pirate massacre mission sources are FDLs, Pythons, etc and assassination missions are Conda/Corvette.

As for the Haz RES, I simply ignore everything smaller than AspX as the payout do not worth it.

....And my vulture do not need to stay behind eagle as I instant kill those before my weapon reload.

And lastly, take this advice: If you do not have problem to stay on target - try fixed weapon. They shred things.

i find keyboard+mouse is not optimal for dogfighting with fixed, it CAN be done just like collecting ores without limpets, or landing, but that's not the highlight of the game for me.  its 2021 and there are no real air-to-air combat systems that rely on pilot agility to move the nose of the aircraft.  with keyboards.

self cooling laser  turret is a compromise,  an adequate farming/harvesting tool, and the fixed burst up close is the most deadly ammo-free weapon at 54 dps with almost no overheat due to the beam laser frosting the windows.   it takes down vettes.

That’s right, Epi. Only a total canopy breach is irreparable outside of Station Services. For the Hull Seals a total canopy breach is a ‘Code Black’ call which is dealt with as a total priority.
They will help locate and mine element sources for Life Support synthesis, then supervise and escort their ‘client’ to safety.

Railguns go brrrrr... Sorry mate did you just said that kbm+m  is sub-optimal for aiming?

Your reasoning for air to air combat is dull - I do not see how a mouse and keyboard can be used in a spinning aircraft but this is definitely not an issue sitting on a desk. Yes, FAoff is harder to master with kbm+m but at least my hands are not strained after few minutes of combat.

... Lastly I prefer dps and syntesys over cheap CMDR's choice of no ammo

... Compare your laughable 56dps to the 367 dps of single overcharged pacifier ->Ward... Ship goes boom. x2... This is why I told you that eagles explode before first reload. Even the toughest NPCs with Anacondas and Vettes do not last long.

Running out of ammo in the middle of combat is the best protection against hand strain.

Yeah, needs some practice as each hit you take will interrupt the process.

So, no, no rest for hands as you need to be evasive. Chaff and heat sink help too.

To me ED has turned into a casual game recently. No more grind to gather, unlock, or level up things. Can't even be bothered to try new ships or weapons. When I feel the space pilot itch these days, all I do is go to some RES, shoot a few pirates, and return to the base when I get bored. Maybe Odyssey will spice things up again. We'll see.

with 54.2 dps compared to your sustained 44 dps, you're validating my choice of burst / inertia/ short range blaster. but if it makes you happy, it can't be that bad. collecting mats and mining is something you love enough to make it mandatory for your play style.

cheers

If you're finding this game grindy, try your hand at anti-Thargoid combat. Breathes new life into it for me.
