Igneel PrimeYou can only have 1 NPC Crew member at a time. To manage them you would have to go to a station and look in a crew lounge if present

Thanks, I appreciate it

That's exactly the point. Doing things in garbage builds is how you earn street cred in this game.

Sorry, what "street cred" means... English is not my primary language and this words make no sense for me.

Similar to, "Peer Respect", I think?

Since this is Elite, I guess the term "galaxy cred" would be more appropriate. Anyway, you get the idea. For example, many folks blow up a Vette at some point, but the guy who did it in a Sidey is the one with the street cred.

You need to be extremely dumb to get vette blown by sidewinder.

See? Everyone remembers that video.

They didn't even have to blow it up. Attacking and surviving was enough to make it a timeless epic.

Did you notice that the extremely dumb vette uses turrets that most of the time can't stay on target ?

It's that and that that Vette apparently didn't have an SLF to deploy. If it had, the fight would've been over in 30 seconds.

Did you notice that the Sidey flew circles around the Vette? If your own ship turns like a whale, you won't get much time on target with fixed weapons unless you can force the small ship to keep a distance. That's where the turrets come in. Using only turrets may be dumb (except in PvE where small ships rarely use stealth), but using only fixed weapons would be even dumber, because the small ship could easily hide behind or below you all the time.

Saka, you obviously never flew Vette. That thing turns like python.

Objection.

Vette

Python

It's A-rated handling is more comparable to Anaconda than Python. Same with speed.

You consider the Python a nimble ship?

The only large ship I know that's hard to tail is the Clipper. All the others are like whales.

Yes, Python is slightly better but with engineering I do not see much of a difference except that vette is a bit slower and drift more.

Do you speak about NPCs or fully engineered player ships?

.... And + what Becca said...
