I have before but not very often. I don't remember if I have for an entire station but I definitely have for individual factions.

Have anyone tried the lightweight / focused PDT in combat situation?

I have two of those and I am interested in testing them vs torpedoes and pack hounds.

Holy crap, last night I almost lost my workhorse Conda to a wing of three NPCs. I was curious and checked out the "fire at will" setting on the turrets. Long story short: Don't use fire at will. Always use "target only" so your turrets finish one job before starting another. Dividing their attention will spread their firepower thin and allow enemy wings to resist longer.

Good luck with convincing her of that. She thinks you can't hit modules with railguns so I can only imagine how useless she thinks an all FF setup is.

I find Sakashiro as very reasonable CMDR, you just need to present the information in a right way and then she just need to find time and resources to check the information.

... And do not know about that rails claim. Yes they cannot do damage to modules if shields are up. But once shields are down they are devastating for modules, especially with experimental super penetrator.

SakashiroDue to the railgun's charging delay, it's not enough to have the micro gimbal snap onto the hitbox. You have to either keep it snapped for some time or at least predict the target's trajectory. It's not impossible but hard enough to make me confident I can get away with evasive maneuvers.

Nah, I kinda don't. In fact I'd say you kinda made that up, bro.

I once got my power plant sniped by a rail gun, and I was confused by the effects it had on my ship, so I went back to the CZ to make the same guys do it again while I captured it on video. Turns out previous engineering had reset some modules to priority 1, and I hadn't noticed it. Lesson learned. Sniping modules is sort of the whole point of rail guns, and I never suggested otherwise.

Btw, those were the only two rebuys I've had since I started playing the game. Total loss: about 1 million credits. Yet I keep hearing trash talk about the squeaky toys I'm flying, and how I don't know what I'm doing. Whatever...

I still want to build my gimballed death star. I do not care if is useless - cause that is not the point of this game for me. Too me there is more fun in making a shit ship work than quite frankly being a Meta Sheep in ships that work. More fun more challenging and hilarious when the shit ship wins...


Go for it....I have a lot of fun with my T-10...not quite a deathstar and the distro cant fire the beams continuously but its fun as hell....
