Sir Sprockettthank you all for your suggestions, comments and build recommendations.

I still want to build my gimballed death star. I do not care if is useless - cause that is not the point of this game for me. Too me there is more fun in making a shit ship work than quite frankly being a Meta Sheep in ships that work. More fun more challenging and hilarious when the shit ship wins...

Go for it....I have a lot of fun with my T-10...not quite a deathstar and the distro cant fire the beams continuously but its fun as hell....

https://inara.cz/cmdr-fleet/198590/2136776/

Also any tips would be cool..I know it aint perfect.....

Not quite a beams deathstar - but with pips set 2.0, 0.5, 3.5 - it will light the sky continually for you...

If nothing else, it would be fun to play with

MCs are nice, but I don't want to run out of ammo all the time.

I have this ship for combat mission etc, not for sitting in a RES... Too much MC to synth amo for.

I have sips more suitable for camping in RES and CZ with fewer hardpoints to reload with synthesis.

Ok quick question:

Is the Type 9 a worthy investment? And how much in credits would it take to make the beast actually worthwhile?

Depends on what you want her for. Undoubtedly a good investment if you plan on doing some serious trading and you shouldn't have to spend too much on outfitting. I have to warn you though, she'll steer like a cow!

For hauling and mining it is cheaper and more accessible alternative to Imperial Cutter. Depending on the build you are looking at 200-280 mil to outfit it.

Thank you both! I was planning on getting her as a hauler and miner, something that can take on a wing transport mission by itself in a few runs. And I have a feeling the sheer size of the damn heffer will end up paying for itself, eventually. Probably gonna name her Montagne.

SakashiroAfter some experimenting with railguns I am now less concerned about them in the hands of gankers. Hitting a small fast-moving ship with them requires mad skills. If anyone manages to kill me with one of those from a distance, my hat will be off to them. 7

On NPC ships however they are OP af.

Sakashiro
Burstaryeah, you kinda do.

Nah, I kinda don't. In fact I'd say you kinda made that up, bro.

I once got my power plant sniped by a rail gun, and I was confused by the effects it had on my ship, so I went back to the CZ to make the same guys do it again while I captured it on video. Turns out previous engineering had reset some modules to priority 1, and I hadn't noticed it. Lesson learned. Sniping modules is sort of the whole point of rail guns, and I never suggested otherwise.

Ah you're right, I was mistaken. It's small ships you think can't be hit by railguns, forget modules

[insert some stupid video that has nothing to do with reality, coupled with some zoomer brag here]

Hi CMDRs.
Does anyone know how, in the context of the story, explain the revival of the pilot after death in the Odyssey?
After all, according to the story we do not die when the ship is destroyed, we do not die in the SRV as there is a hologram, and on the surface who or what will be with a legs?
And what will happen to the ship when the cmdr will be killed, will it stay on the planet?
I apologize for my English and if the question has already been asked.

I don't think we've seen this answered by Frontier but there were a lot of speculation on official forum.

Burstar, regarding your first quote of Sakashiro:

She is correct for that. Player hitting small ship in range with rail guns is skill(combination of attacker and victim skills). NPC hitting small ship at range with rail guns is aim bot.

Due to some shenanigans in Deciat I apparently not only became wanted but now have notoriety. I was interdicted and destroyed my first player ship.

I can't just pay off the fine. I went to interstellar faction and same there (says I need to simmer down a bit first). So I travelled a few systems away so I could get some fuel. After refuelling I proceeded to get notoriety in that system as well. I think that is what it is but haven't gone to interstellar faction to check....figured it wouldn't work due to the first time I got notoriety. I am not sure how it happened this time as I was fighting NPCs around an installation of some sort.

Yes, I realize some may consider that I am making poor choices. However, I don't want to "wait out the notoriety cool-down" by mining or sitting idle and want to do some more PVP. What options are there to get fuel and repair with notoriety? Do I need to shuttle back and forth between Deciat (or equiv.) and a location where I am not wanted? I don't want to outfit a fuel scoop and lose a defensive module.

In general everything is skill so that's just wasted air. Yes rail and gauss guns require more skill than most other weapons but that skill is ubiquitous because their usage is exceedingly common in endgame. It's like showing up to a gun duel hoping your opponent forgot the bullets.

You can turn yourself in and go to space jail.

Dude, just show up with your rail gun and interdict me already.

Once I have plotted a course to a destination, is there someplace I can see the route listed?
I'd like to be able to easily identify if a the location of a mission is something that's already on my way.
