SakashiroPlot twist: The pirates in Sirius do not accept jettisoned cargo!



I had the same thing happen, and it ended in a rebuy. All for just one escape pod? Overkill much?

OK, so I hopped into my Courier and investigated, and here's what I found:

If you enter Sirius with something in your cargo hold, you may or may not receive a familiar message in local chat: "So the rumors were true, good I found you first" or "Big haul, surprised you made it this far" etc.

If you receive that sort of message and submit to the subsequent interdiction, you will be attacked immediately, even if you jettison your cargo.

But it gets even weirder: If your ship is fast and you manage to low-wake out, you will after a few seconds receive that sort of message in local chat again. The NPC(s) will not register that your cargo hold is now empty, and will chain-interdict you.

I've been running my T9 for this CG to try and float around the top ten, currently trying to at least stay in spitting distance of tenth place. Does anyone know if Inara can tell you what place you're in currently for the cargo CG? Also I have some shit about the cargo runs to say.

Firstly T9 seems to average about 20-30 in 9 hours of play so that's definitely painful in all sorts of ways. Secondly the pirates seem to be tracking you down in any intermediate system to Sirius as well even if it isn't super populated so interdiction does seem to be a problem for trucking it in from other systems.

Also the interdictions vs Npcs aren't terrible for trucking right now esp. since they seem to be running interdiction once every 5-6 times unless If you relog because something got fucked in which case they seem to be guaranteed to interdict you on the next loaded trip into surrounding Sirius systems.

Sirius B is white dwarf. You probably are too far away from it but it is some kind of a bug.

I vaguely recall that there were bugs where you would hear that if you flew in line with a cone (even out of range) or another commander in the same instance charged their drive, but this is hearsay and I've not verified it.

This happens every time i SC to the laelap in Sirius but never when I go see Qwent, so must be a star bug as people say.

When people are trucking for the CG are they doing it in open? How’s the player interdiction rate or do you stick in solo? I don’t fancy hauling but might be good to carry a fee tonnes just to get chain interdicted.

Hauling payout got absolutely fucked when people cleared out the coffee. Now you can only make 3 million per run in a t9 which is painnnnn. About 2,000 profit per item as opposed to coffee which was much higher.

i playing SOLO for trucking - but am now shielded and armed so am dealing with the NPCs when I get pulled. Bounties... less cargo - more survivability and fight...

I'm making over 8mil profit each run in my T9 hauling for this CG
