Something interesting just happened: the threshold for the top 10% just decreased for the first time. It was over 100,900,000 Cr earlier today; now it's below 100,200,000 Cr. Meanwhile the number of participants is rising faster than before.
I guess more and more people are realizing that shooting down just one wanted Sidewinder in a lowRES now will earn them 1,400,000 Cr for participating in the CG. Easy money!
No, think you’re using old screenshot. Top 10% is now 102 mill
... and elite eagles only earn me 200k
1.4 mil being the base contribution reward for CG participation. Not the bounty for said sidewinder

SakashiroCG's over, time for a post-mortem.
I could speed this up to some degree using bi-weaves, but then the shields would be weaker overall. I could change the shield boosters from heavy duty to resistance augmented, but then the shields would be weak against plasma accelerators that do absolute damage. I could leave the hazRES and dock at the nearest station or FC for quick shield recovery. In fact I did that a few times during the CG, but it's annoying.
In a Mamba, Plasma Accelerators should be of little concern against NPCs. Assuming you are maneuvering constantly they will hit you very rarely so this kind of damage should be negligible. Still, for PVE I agree with Episparh that Bi-Weaves spec'd resistances are the way to go, and that this does not preclude SCBs, however, I do not like that 'recommended build' at all:
The Chaff is a wasted utility slot. better to put a Kill Warrant Scanner or something truly useful there. Also, with the diminishing returns as a resistance gets closer to the 75% cap you could probably lose one of the Shield Boosters too if you need another utility for something like Heat Sinks.
If you're going to use all one type of weapon I would use fixed instead of gimballed because your aim isn't going to be split, the dps is increased, and it's immune to the endless chaff NPC's use.
The HRP is overkill considering the build already uses Military (why not Reactive?)+HD+Deep Plate, and could be something else as you're not going to stick around with this build if your shields actually get overwhelmed and the extra speed would get you out of trouble faster. Considering this, I might even go Light Duty for the armour instead of the Heavy Duty.
Finally, if this build is specifically for CG's like this last one, it might be better to go Prismatic+Reinforced+Hi-Cap and just jump out to rearm and recharge the shields at one of the nearby FC's, but that's a matter of personal taste.

LostinthemessI use SCB's with my combat ship which is running Prismatics. Exactly the same as you, in that my shields lose a ring when fighting wings of 3 but I pop a SCB and I'm good to go again. By the time I've fired off all the SCB's, my multi's usually need a reload anyway. £100m in the recent CG without my shields dropping once.

I tried that thermal resist fast-charge bi-weave setup on my first Mamba. Regen time was great (1:45min, compared to 23min on the Butterfly) but the result didn't feel much better than what I had on the Courier. I prefer the A-rated heavy duty setup now because it pretty much eliminates the need for pip management. I now fly 2/2/2 in combat all the time. The CG has convinced me that this is the way to go. Zero rebuys, zero repairs, 150M bounty profits, and most importantly: a ship that's almost as much fun to fly as the Courier.

Bi-weaves like those don't work as well on mediums with less in the armor department. Next time try them on one of the fed mediums, you'll get a much better result

So, haz RES here I come again.
Clippers for the top 10, as expected. But surprisingly no paint jobs for iconic Imp ships but for the Cobra instead.
I have yet to complete trade Elite, so I think I'll haul. Time to get a Python with that double-engineered FSD.

Trade elit is achieved through profit, hence mining is the most efficient way.
