Do what? CG? Sure. You can do anything in solo or private group. Galaxy is same for every mode and you will affect it anyway.

The trial of Fleet Admiral Vincent showed that Jupiter Rochester attempted to replace Jasmina Halsey with Zachary Hudson to secure military contracts with the Federal Navy.
The Federal Intelligence Agency has arrested several co-conspirators, but its investigation is hampered by Jupiter Rochester loyalists splitting away from Core Dynamics. His new independent faction, Jupiter Division, has engaged in conflict against Federal forces in the HIP 54530 system.
President Hudson has claimed ignorance of the assassination plot, but public opinion polls show a decrease of trust in the Republican Party. Many have voiced anger at such corruption at the heart of the Federation, calling for further investigations into the corporate sector’s influence on government.

Political embarrassment has also affected the Liberal Party, with Shadow Vice President Isolde Rochester attempting to distance herself from her eldest son:

Everything that happened benefitted Core Dynamics after all as the rising tensions between Federation and the Empire ultimately resulted in a sweet deal for five new Farraguts.

Taitsuo ShimaHey guys, I'm not sure I'm in the right place to ask noob question, but right now Inara have been my main source of information so...
I'm trying to understand how this CG work,
I'm at HIP 54530
I've subscribed to the CG mission (both of them =c , you then can't unsubscribe...)
I've been in a conflict area and shooted at jupiter division ships, "helped" destroy a bunch of them for more than an hour now (I'm in a badly outfitted cobra III so my contribution to the kill is not much but, well...)
I'm back at the Iron Wing of Justice
In the contact the combat reward guys gave me more than 1m creds (so they "recognize" I've been part of thoses kills)
but on the Cg mission I'm still ranked F , "insuficient contribution" , so I'm not eligible for the global reward...
What am I missing here ? I just want to be at rank E (part of the 100%...) to get the discount on modules.
Sorry for my english, it's not my native language (and I have the game in french so sorry if my description is unclear)
And please tell me if I'm really not in the right place to ask thoses kinf od questions.
mate are you sure you selected the correct mission tab for federation, not the other one. if you opened the wrong one it'll still list you as not enough contributions

(if I see a wrong quantity, for exemple there is no more meta-alloy under 1.4m ... I visited the 3 places listed and they were all empty)
(PS: why those alloy are so damn expensive ?...)

You update DB by running EDMC and docking with the station/FC.
Meta-alloy is free at barnacle forest ...just people are making money from lazy CMDRs.

ok I've just did that, does it take some time to update the inara DB ? (cause I still see the alloy even if the station is empty)

If the update from EDMC was sent correctly, it should get reflected in the database within a minute (usually a few seconds). Just to check, which carriers you have visited?
Otherwise it's not unusual that some commodities may disappear from the fleet carrier markets pretty fast, like Modular terminals, etc., so is always good to check the last update time.

Thanks, I see the problem. I am not sure when you made the update (the last one was received 20 minutes ago) and as it was containing the Meta alloys but only in the inventory (which is for some reason still listed in the market data received) and no other commodity was there, the market was not emptied. I will adjust this specific situation in a an hour. If your update was supposed to be more recent (it means, not in the last 20 minutes and you haven't bought those alloys, then your update was not sent).

The Courier is great for this but does not quite have the punch I want. Best Combo, Single Rail Gun and 2 beam lasers - cause you can go at it for ever (fuel dependent as I have plasma slugs on the Rail...)
Cannons - I did not like the feel Could not really tell if I was hitting my target, with the rail gun you know when you hit your target.
Seeker Missiles and rail gun was good, but restricted by AMMO
