Stupid
Thanatos au GrimmusOMG, thank you, FDev!!! I have a double engineered enzyme missile rack waiting for me in Mudhrid!

Were you in the top 10%?

Yes, sir.

Go in some Haz RES and wait for some anaconda to use cell bank and try it. Cascading effect is shown in the target holo.

The cascading effect notification looks like: ( - )

OK Epi, I am with The Blaster at the moment - I have just engineered a 2B railgun for long range (G4) and Feedback Cascade. When I compare this rail with the CG one, I see a Thermal load of 12.0 whereas the CG rail shows a Thermal load of 20.0. If I was a betting man I would say the CG Railgun does NOT have Feedback Cascade applied.

I told you, you can be sure only if you hit banking target and see if cascade notification is shown or not.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If Tier 1 is reached, the top 10% of participants will receive a fully engineered class 2 rating B long range and high capacity railgun with feedback cascade.

At least FDev made it very clear that the railgun was to have feedback cascade. If that is not the case, I expect they will correct it, especially if people let them know about it.

It could be a while, but I will try Epi's suggestion before I make any further assumptions. However, many thanks for all your help.

For what it's worth on my ship loadout tab here, the CG railgun does not have feedback cascade.

Someone want to explain why I had to pay legal fees on the rail gun I got from last weeks CG? It's a reward after all.

Did anyone else have to do this for their weapon reward as well?

Seems like a glitch by FDev. As far as I know, everyone who got the CG railgun had to deal with "legal issues". It's still not clear to me whether the railgun actually has the feedback cascade.

I haven't tested it out to see and it doesn't say on the rail gun mod about the feedback cascade either. I've got to go mine ot refuel my carry. -.-;

The ship's air scrubbers must be glitchy. There was a real stink in the cabin for just a moment, but now it's gone.

This... This just doesn't seem right.

So, I'm supporting a minor faction that's in election state to take over a system. I take on about 9 planetary scan missions and a couple of courier missions to support them. Oddly enough, one of the planetary scan targets is owned by the very same faction. And they fine me for doing what they asked me to.

Okay. I mean, it's only 500, but c'mon, man.

So at the 7th target, again, it belongs to the the same minor faction. Again, I get fined for doing the job they asked me to. Eye roll. At this point, been sitting here for a couple of hours and need a bathroom break. Come back... and my DBX has been destroyed. I'm aghast. That's around 12-15 million in scans down the drain. I'm at the penal station, so apparently security came along and found me. When I buy back in, the only bounties paid off... The faction I was doing the jobs for.

Really? REALLY??

AAAUUUGH!!!!!

It makes sense actually. It wouldn't be out of ordinary to hire outsiders to do the job someone can't legally do inside their own authority (like obtaining information that cannot be accessed due to secrecy but it would be evidence for someone else's corruption). Or the opposite, it might be an inside job in which you are hired to steal data and you'd be officially accused - or some "unknown suspect - but under the table you'd get money from them (think about it like taking part in a staged robbery so firm gets insurance and getting a cut from it).

One nice thing I noticed about the CG railgun: it has a range of 6000m with no damage falloff.

Yeah in the case of some illegal contracts that would make a lot of sense. If a faction wants someone removed, but they're also the only people with access to the relevant information, it would be incredibly obvious who was behind the assassination if they just gave you the intel, but if you steal the information from them it gives them plausible deniability.

Additionally, in such operations as few people as necessary are going to know about your job, so it's entirely plausible that the System Security that bring you in were never aware you were working for their boss.

It's long range engineering. It should be like that.
