WarCat72I'm not complaining, or even whining. But what is that point of ganking? I'm a rated mostly harmless, which means I'm not a very worthwhile combat target. I'm not carrying anything of value, yet I get interdicted and smashed flat by a dude in a ORCA. I ask him why with direct messaging, and it's because he heard I was talking about his mom. OK, so he's a ganking twatwaffle. I give it a few minutes, and decided to lauch and clear out of the system, and as my FSD is powering up, he attacks me again. So when I respawn, after a second expensive rebuy, I switch to a Sidewinder and manage to sneak out of the system. I don't understand why I got targeted to begin with.
the goal of the "ganker" is your emotions. The brighter you burn with indignation, the higher the reward.

This is why i offer the new players i help some interdiction practice. Ran some yesterday w/ one of my squadron members who is new. He got ganked in open for the first time, panicked and logged. After a long lecture we practiced and he's now confident he can escape any gank attempt at a CG. Which is really all it takes, but so many are unwilling to teach

either play in SOLO - at known hot spots - i.e CG's, certain systems etc
Learn to get away from interdiction - or Gank evasion
Or get a small cheap re-buy of a ship (mine was the IMP courier) get some engineering on it and have a go at them back... go and gank them...
but do not ever let them get to you.

As a former EVE Online player, I can assure you that there are people that are actually nicer in games than they are in their actual lives, despite being sociopaths/psychopaths in both worlds. lol

But using a Courier to gank gankers? Sure, you can annoy them by interdicting them and then escaping. But if you pick a fight against those PvP-hardened FDLs, you'll see the rebuy screen in no time. The Courier has neither the shields/hull nor the firepower to match an FDL. Its only advantage is speed and a small hitbox. You can outrun them, that's all.
