J4ck Th3 D3v1lHi Guys,

me and a friend got a little problem on Xbox.
We. an join each others groups and chat with each other ingame. But if we send each other wing invites we don’t receive a the invitation from each other. It doesn‘t matter if we try in public lobbies or in private ones. Console restarting, port opening on the router, reinsalling the game - he even deleted his save game - but nothing does work.

It works if i invite anyone else, just with this one guy it won‘t work.

Anyone an idea? ????

Many thanks in advance!

Jack

I'm on PC, but I expect the game mechanics & functions to be the same or similar... check settings if there's anything like 'allow/block wing invites'?

Is anyone playing cqc on ps4?

Evening Cmdrs,

I have had a successful weekend of a combination of CGing and Engineer unlocking, 3 more engineers unlocked, one of them being armour...

Am using the CG for the PP and PD to build a little Viper III "Nibble" for learning my combat skills. (cause I am not brilliant) and I think this could be a fun build...

whadda think?

You'll probably want drag drives on that build, not drive distributors. Your weapons are 100% kinetic. Might take a while to take down shields with that configuration. If you don't want lasers, maybe consider incendiary rounds for one of those MCs, and corrosive shell for the other.

^^ guess, Inc+Corr pair is an "out of the question" with that kind of loadout. Without that mod it can be a painboat to ride...

Shield thermal resistance is very low.
KWS - why? Add one more chaff or skill booster.
Lightweight HRP - why? Keep it heavy duty.
Collector limpet controller and cargo - is this combat ship or something else? Viper do not have so many optional slot - you better use them for MRP/HRP as those shields will go down.

For weapons I would pick 2 size 2 MCs and two fixed pulse laser size 1.

...I think I have AFMU on my viper build

EpisparhShield thermal resistance is very low.

The double-engineered shield generator from the CG is going to fix that.

Then why it have enhanced low power mod ? Should be either thermal or kinetic resistance.

... Anyway, I may put all 3 rewards together on some general purpose type-6 wonderer https://edsy.org/s/vnd3xuz

Tbh, I find this recent inflation in double-engineered modules annoying. Why would anyone still use single-engineered ones instead? It's like those Guardian internal modules that no one is using any more (except for the FSD booster) because engineering supplanted them completely.

Guess we can get triple-engineered with Odyssey release. And to do that, you have to find special rocks and even more special pieces of trash, going on foot.

They should just introduce a second mod slot on every module, but limit them to a total grade 5. So you could combine e.g. grade 1 and grade 4, or grade 2 and grade 3.

Depends. Couldn't participate in the CG so don't have access, can't afford or be bothered with the grind to buy ones that they can, or just don't need the specific bonuses that the particular double-e module provides.

For example, this double shield I will have a difficult time finding a use for. It's too small for any of the ships I normally fly and would have to develop a ship specifically to use it (I probably will for the luls). The double FSD has very low integrity and isn't ideal for combat ships.

Um, those Guardian modules are definitely still used, although admittedly they are mostly relegated to AX role.

If you have the power to spare you may as well use the guardian module reinforcement, provides the same protection as a D-Rated MRP and has a slightly higher integrity, so it'll last a little longer. I always use them over standard ones these days.

Only few guardian modules are actually useful:
FSD booster, shield reinforcement, gauss cannon ... maybe guardian module reinforcement.  SRP is very useful for some ships that have low shield potential - example AspX (Jinn). The other use for SRP is bank tanks.

And for double engineered modules - you can add few ly to your ship if it use 5A FSD on the price of lowered integrity ...  most ships do not need that anyway.
So far only the FSD and DSS x2 modules are some kind useful , others are either niche use or applicable in too few cases.

This is more my taste.

Here are my preferred adjustments:  Viper Mk. 3
I went with 1 overcharged, 1 efficient beam laser because I find that it gives a good dps/energy vs time on target mix for my flying style.  If you get more time on target you can switch the overcharged with a second efficient, and switch to dual overcharged if your TOT is scarce.
I switched the MRP out for for more Cargo space + lighter empty as module damage shouldn't be a problem in the smaller more maneuverable ships (and 1 MRP won't help much anyways).
I switched the shield to Bi-Weave because small ship shields don't withstand much anyways and getting them back up faster is preferable.
With this build, I'd use the MC sparingly as they're pretty much only there to apply the corrosive effect for your Beams to do the work.

Edit:  you can swap out the KWS for Chaff too.  Wasn't sure how important that is for you.
Edit2:  amended based on Sakashiro's observation
