OtohaRandom question to those that have been interdicted by other players:

How long would you say it normally takes the attacking ship to load in to the instance behind you? Is it usually fairly simultaneous? Or is there a deliberate delay?

Varies to a large degree.

There are also two major types of interdictions: Mission related and spontaneous interdiction.

Mission related interdictors usually spawn on the radar soon after you jump into the destination system, but sometimes appear much later, especially if you have several missions and pursuers. The actual interdiction mostly occurs when you need to throttle down before the station approach, but may also happen immediately near the star.

Spontaneous interdictions may happen any time when you carry cargo or in certain systems with patrolling security forces.

Player on player interdiction, no missions or npcs involved

I am planning a semi-long distance trip from the bubble to anywhere around 2-3k ly from the bubble, where should I head to?

What you want to achieve with that trip?
Practically, you can go to crystalline shards and get you raw mats store maxed.
For site seeing just use those:
https://wiki.ed-board.net/en/type/PN

https://www.edsm.net/en/galactic-mapping#2/0/0/25000

edsm has a list of planetary nebulae next to the bubble. maybe farsight expedition base. maybe visit IC 1805 Sector DQ-Y e3 on the way there.

You both drop at the same time as far as I can tell. How disoriented the ships are when they drop seems to be random, but to me it feels like the interdictor gets a stability advantage and the interdictee's immediate control is penalized for not submitting.

Has somebody recently collected their CG rewards from Spirit of Laelaps and therefore managed to dock there?

If you have missed the story: The mega ship is orbiting within the asteroid ring of Luyten's Star 2 at an horrendous speed.

I think it's a pretty funny bug and tried to dock, but haven't had success so far. I've followed the guide in this video to no avail. I get within 8 km after jumping out of SC, but it doesn't sync and the ship is off on its way.

As far as I can tell, if the interdiction succeeds without submission, both parties get disorientation. If the interdictee submits, no disorientation happens. I've only experienced this in PvE, so it might not be the same in PvP

works like this in PvP too, disorientation for both if no submission, none if target submitted.

you gotta deal with instancing in PvP tho

Try running discovery scanner in the system, might work. Or fly close to the rings, they may show up after this.

p.s. I had a same problem, but it was a month ago, can't recall now which of this two ways helped.

Thanks for the tips but they did not work for me. And I got so close to the asteroids I crashed into them sort of. Weird you take damage but still have to fly to get to the rocks.

Are you in Analysis mode? If you're in combat mode that data disappears. The only other possibility I can think of (that you ruled out) is you no longer have a Detailed Surface Scanner.

OK, I did have to shake my head and go and check but since the d-scanner is on the overview I'm in none combat mode. And yes I have switched my weaponless ship into combat mode at times but usually, I change it back just as quick because the only thing I sort of hurt is rocks, and I say sort of hurt because man even though you MINE a rock it doesn't seem very damaged by the lasers.

I'm off to try a different location, and I opened a ticket so maybe if I turned something off I will get it fixed. Thanks, everyone for the help.

Yes, but very often I'm at the thruster crash noise and just started the uncontrollable spinning and hear 'under attack'. So the Interdictor had time to get control of their ship, deploy hardpoints and aim, while I'm literally just coming out of the Braben tunnel (so to speak) and taking fire. Acknowledging that experience and skill are of course a factor it really feels like even when both ships are 'out of control' the interdictor is much more stable and/or placed in perfect position as a scenario requirement, which is what I mean. Not that one is totally in control and the other isn't.

Edit: .. and having an easier time getting under control being the interdictor is my experience. You almost never get kicked over in a 180.

I asked because I've noticed that when i get interdicted by most players, i always submit and i end up in the instance VERY early by comparison. I can get down, deploy hardpoints, turn FA off and be flipped around and waiting for up to 10 seconds before my attacker finally arrives.

I say this because i have the Series X, and I'm wondering if what I'm seeing here is the significant difference in load times between myself and commanders not yet lucky enough to procure one. I do not remember it taking nearly that long for the attacker to instance before

Hey all,
What would be the best resource to use as a data courier, as far as which station has those jobs available? Or do you just have to hit random stations and check the mission boards?

If you have the rank, a Courier, fast, agile and dirt cheap to rebuy if you misjudge things. But, truthfully any ship up to medium will do the job well. Finding jobs is worth looking around a little until you get a station with some going to a close system. Do a few as once your reputation rises with factions offering work the pay for the job rises too.

I really appreciate the response! Thank you for the advice and I will use it going forward, no doubt.
