So yes - mining is the only humane way to earn credits now.

Not true. Most profitable thing now for money making is combat. In meta systems you can do 200 ml per hour easily.

I'm not going to argue, but I'm not sure it's easier to assemble a combat fit and swarm enemies' skulls than it is to look for cores. But that's as far as I'm concerned. I'm not a big fan of combat.

I used to be not a big fan of combat. Now I'm hardly doing anything else.

To make good money from it requires stacking a lot of missions though. Bounties alone won't cut it.

However, you can make combat almost as chill as mining. My turreted Anaconda for example requires less interaction than laser mining. You just open fire on approaching pirates and occasionally turn the ship for optimal coverage. Some people even claim to have made the process fully automatic.

"Okay, I've mined around 100mcr/h on Cobra, which I've purchased in noobie-zone, outfitted with cheap stuff that seemed relative to mining, in the first bunch of hotspots that I came across, after watching 15 minutes of tutorials.

To tell you the truth in 500 hours of play I already had a Python, not a Cobra, so it was easier for me to mine.

Meowers Well, combat is what I do most of the time. But I choose my targets by allegiance/faction type and go CZs. There's not much money there. I can go bountyhunting only if some rare and maybe impossible requirements are met.

So I'm not arguing, everyone finds his own game, just shared my opinion, I apologize for expressing it as the only true, it is not

SnapStrIn my experience, I have collected on missions and trade 70 million credits in 500 hours of play and on mining in 10 hours collected 1 billion credits. And this is after the era of peynite and opals of the void.
That was when I decided I really want to buy an anaconda.
So yes - mining is the only humane way to earn credits now.

Yup. I'm thinking this way now:

"Okay, I've mined around 100mcr/h on Cobra, which I've purchased in noobie-zone, outfitted with cheap stuff that seemed relative to mining, in the first bunch of hotspots that I came across, after watching 15 minutes of tutorials. The only sophisticated part was selling what I found for a highest price possible, had to jump around a bit. I hadn't any goal to earn as much as I can, just didn't want to waste my time around cheap resources. So mining was done in pretty half-arsed way.

So why the heck I need to build a specific expensive ship and crawl the spreadsheets to at least come close to this level by trading? I may not like mining as an constant activity, but if I need some credits, maybe biting the bullet for this last time can be a logical answer."

Tengri UmaiNot true. Most profitable thing now for money making is combat. In meta systems you can do 200 ml per hour easily.

A may be a "somewhat like a combat pilot", but bountyhunting is a thing that I certainly don't want to do. Mining may be uncomfortable, but BH is a clear no.

That was not my point. Players can earn money with any methods they want. If you don't like combat or BH it's alright. Dude said that there is only mining like we are living in times of painite gold rush\LTD gold rush\EGG time and whatever. But after recent re balance there plenty of ways to earn money. From passangering to combat missions. Most are at the same level or kinda same.

None of what you've said was offensive. My original thoughts was about "mining vs. trading comparison". And looks like the answer is "trading can be mega profitable in some occasions, but it's so-so in others, however you probably won't be exchanging your time for pennies when mining".

I know. But, again, original was "mining vs. trading". Phrase "mining is the only humane way" or so wasn't said by me. :p

Ah, got it. You answered to him, not me. And my eyes was on my arse. Awesome. :p

I enjoy rotating the main ways of earning dough: mining, passenger transport, trading, and massacre mission combat.

Now I have both the Anaconda and the Corvette, but I still don't like fighting. My Anaconda's fit allows me to take out any pirate, it helps in missions, I fly safely.
Now it's not about earning credits at all, I don't know what to do with credits in this game so I just enjoy what's interesting.

I don't do mining all the time. And I only mine cores. Usually when I load my Python at 120 tons or so, I get about 100+ million credits and it takes about 1.5 hours of play. I do this from time to time to keep my balance within 1 billion, just in case
And yes, I enjoy mining as much as fishing, just relaxing and reflecting in the process

The remoteness of the Colony makes me assume that new inventions by our engineers await us. I think we're in for new FDS or Thargoid relocation technology. After all, 22,000 light years is a long way off for our FSD's. What do you think?

Someone on YouTube has tried, but so far it hasn't worked.

The neutron highway did help with the travel out to Colonia, but it is still a very long way, hence staying out here a few weeks.
Some new FDS or Thargoid relocation technology would be awesome... I wonder if since Jacques Starport became stuck jumping if some new tech already exists but we are yet to discover it?

I do bubble - Colonia in 3h and this is almost 3 times longer than the record.

That is very interesting. Is that with a Guardian FDS booster?

I used the Neutron router going out, but haven’t unlocked any Guardian goodies just yet so it took me quite a bit longer.

A 5H Guardian FSD booster will essentially give you an additional 42 LY per super-charged jump (4 x 10.5).

It took me almost three days to get here. But I sometimes scanned new systems along the way.
