On the forums people are currently a bit... lets call it "annoyed" by CM Zak. Turned out that the 3rd LP had a typo in it. But instead of disclosing this in the discussion thread on the official forums he revealed it on Canonn's Discord... There was quite a delay before it was relayed to the forums by another player instead of a CM!
yeah, turning out to be a bit of a cock up all round. Pity really coz it was a really good hunt and well worked out in the end. The reason Zak had to step in is because we'd worked out the co-ordinate cypher but it came up with an incorrect result. But yes. He should have called a halt and changed the text in game rather than in discord.
Amata LireinOK, if the rumor I just heard turns out to be true (emphasis on "rumor") this might turn into a bit of a scandal... apparently the first 10 pilots who reached the Hesperus got a nice 100m credit bonus, which because of where Zak disclosed the typo are now all Canonn members.
I also read of this on the discord but I can't verify. More interested in the logs and the Scriverner Techno cult

As far as I understood it you're eligable as long as you scanned the listening post in Chukchan first!

If you follow the 3 LP beacons and then scan the Hesperus you'll get the payout and a whole bunch of encrypted logs - about 35 jumps total? According to EDSM I've flown 378 jumps in the past couple of days, so I'm going to settle down at Jameson's crash site and not think of heading back out to Perseus Dark for a while.

Not good. Sounds like I'm flying out there sooner then I thought.
