waitaminnit... In all my ships with 2 seats side by side, they're all commanded from the left-hand one.

Seems legit.

When entering or leaving a station, my ship goes via the right-hand side, provided it's not a space whale like the Conda or Type-10 or the like, which takes the whole friggin' slot.

Seems legit.

Although from a mariner's point of view, the green & red lights in the stations are reversed when entering... at least, here in the States, one must keep the red mark or light to the starboard when entering a waterway or port. ("Red-Right-Returning"). Seeing that all those things we fly are called 'ships' I'd think they'd carry on the standard.

Now for those living "down-unda" things should be upside-down, Hmm?

What side do the Aussies drive on?

Lol In British.

I dunno... I watched "Mad Max" & it seems to me, they drove on the "Fast Side".

The two large Gutamaya ships and Zorgon Peterson's Fer-De-Lance and Adder have the pilot position on the right.

I wouldn't know, I own none of them.

All of those are fine ships despite the wrong pilot placement (I am aware that it is my personal bias and others have the opposite opinion)

Nothing is wrong while you're actually placed inside a ship and looking forward.

That is correct... it's the law!

The correct answer is actually, which ever side is opposite to the

*insert various deadly animal here*

that will try to attach itself to your vehicle and ambush you later.

Case in point

TiggerDo you suppose one day we might be able to decide which side of the ship to fly from so we can fly from the correct Australian side?

If your seat is on the wrong side, you're in the wrong ship.

They're not reversed. You're the one who's upside down.

As a USian, I do find the FDL seat position a bit disorienting, but it's nowhere near as annoying as that cockpit pillar. They really couldn't design it in a way that didn't obstruct your view? Really? I have a Cutter and a Beluga. Yes, yes, they absolutely could have.

Because I said you were. What further reason do I need?

You know... I never even noticed it in the Cutter. Are you sure? It's been a few weeks since I've been able to play, and I'm not sure if I'll get to it tonight or over the weekend (and the alpha beckons) but I thought the Cutter was a center seat with a seat on either side. Or is that the Anaconda... Shows how observant I am.

They screwed up the FDL cockpit to have a reason to introduce the Mamba.
