Blue HUD is best HUD.

Even better is the EDHM mod that allows the changing of individual elements (if you want white shields AND red enemy scanner markers) which the arkku falls down on. It is Frontier ‘okayed’ and comes in
Config txt files
And a
A ui installer version
I’ve been using it since November and it’s pretty tweakable - though getting mission boards and outfitting looking good is still a challenge.

I might try that out.

Lambast MercyTrue, but here is a list of HUD settings that don't or very lightly interfere with profile and Station Personel images.

HUD settings

And here's a tool that lets you test settings before you apply them.

True blue IS the only way to go & I'll be updating my HUD again with the new tools there.
Thank you for the info

Hm, isn't that tool using the F keys? I think this is the reason I never tried it. I use F keys for pip macros.

You can change the key binds. Did you write yr macros from scratch or use an autokey tool?

Synthya WylderWhat regularly irritates me is the standard yellow color of things projected on the HUD. Against the background of anything bright like suns, I simply can't see it. I guess I have to explore changing the colors of things in the cockpit.

Have done a very lazy hud update to blue, and went with one of the configs from here as it helps with menus remaining legible and Avatars looking cool.

I took this yesterday while people were talking about HUD colours. Changing it is easy if you follow each step, and having your colour scheme makes a ship feel like your ship instead of just another 'Off The Assembly Line' model.

I'll try the other HUD tool and post the results soon.

When I first listened to Galnet news about Archon's plans to build starports I didn't think much about it until I heard "In the Colonia Region"

YOU WOT BOI?!

Autokeys + script I got from AXI.

Synthya Wylderwaitaminnit... In all my ships with 2 seats side by side, they're all commanded from the left-hand one.

Seems legit.

When entering or leaving a station, my ship goes via the right-hand side, provided it's not a space whale like the Conda or Type-10 or the like, which takes the whole friggin' slot.

Seems legit.

Although from a mariner's point of view, the green & red lights in the stations are reversed when entering... at least, here in the States, one must keep the red mark or light to the starboard when entering a waterway or port. ("Red-Right-Returning"). Seeing that all those things we fly are called 'ships' I'd think they'd carry on the standard.

Now for those living "down-unda" things should be upside-down, Hmm?

What about Fer de lance? You sit in right.

I tried making a script for setting specific pips in autokeys but never got it to work.

That's a little too dark for my liking. The 3rd level text (repair all, restock etc) is hard to read for me to make out, though that might be my screen (or my aging eyes).  I prefer a wider range of colours and just tone them all down a bit. Currently I'm enjoying a tan panel.

Thanks Epi for the script. I'll try that later.

EDIT: Sweet Jeezus, I don't think I'm ever gonna get the hang of this image linking system. How come it shows up in the reply preview but in the actual thread it only shows the link?
