Bin JuiceI just reached the Federal Petty Officer rank. I received a message saying I had been granted access to SOL.
I have since deleted the message and I still do not have the permit.

Was I supposed to do something with the message?

Can I get the message back after deleting it??

Try logging out of the game and log back in. Edit: Amata ninja'd me.

Try relogging, the permit should then show up in your permit list. Otherwise you should use the issue tracker (aka contact FDev).

Fixed - Thanks

I have a game question about Odyssey. I have an xbox and can not test or review yet but wondering about how the new game connects to Horizons? I am excited to use my own ship in the same universe and step out on planets. Are you PC folks having to start over again and use Apex for transportation?

Also if I am engineering a module X3 (thrusters) with a new engineer do I have to start over with the module to fain access to engineering 4 and 5? Palin wont touch my thrusters unless I reengineer them or buy a new module.

Thanks for your comments. Please continue the talk on Horizons ...

Right now Odyssey is in Alpha. This is a pre-release period in which players that wish can test SOME of the games features to find bugs and critque game mechanics. To do this, players are given a special Alpha account that in no way will carry over to the actual game after Alpha is done. Even in the last phase where your current game is imported will not have any changes carried over. It will only be to test how old and new mesh.

That said, I can share how FDev has merged old and new together previously. Generally, current and previous game mechanics stay pretty much the same. Your account will not be reset, old achievements deleted, or anything along these lines. If you did not have Horizons you could continue playing Vanilla ED. If you did get Horizons nothing changed except an additional flag on your ships to allow Planetary landing.

Now, unfortunately, FDev has no shame when it comes to making new mechanics render old obsolete. Meaning, while you could play vanilla ED anyone with Horizons could monkey stomp you with their engineered monsters. So, in all likelihood something about walking on foot may improve your ship performance (ie: access to super double engineered modules only found in lootboxes inside bases) to render Horizons engineering obsolete.

You might not be wrong. I see few items used to "on foot" upgrades - Suit and Weapon schematics. But there are three more building, vehicle a
ship
schematics.

Grind , grind, grind all day!
Ba dum tsss!!!

EpisparhApparently even top 10% will not get enzyme missile Who would have thought that

That was evident from the outset. But what it does do is allow everyone who takes part to be flagged as 'wanted for terrorist activity' by the Proactive Detection Bureau arm of the FIA. as per the galnet article

ArtieProblems in the game? Are you looking for something? Do you have anything else on your mind? Feel free to discuss it here.

Not a problem, but a question reference shield regeneration. It seems the best way to regenerate shields that have been damaged is to go into frame shift and click all four boxes on "SYS". Shields seem to return to operational status quickly, depending on the type of ship. Is this the best/fastest way to regenerate shields?

that box is called PIPS. use 4PIPS on SYS is the best way to regenerate a damaged shield. no matter if you are in supercruise or not.
in fact every shield generator draw power from SYS capacitor at a certain speed, you just need to keep the SYS full to reach fastest regenerate speed. extra PIPS only reduce incoming damage to shield.
but when you are using prismatic shield and huge amount of shield boosters and your shield is already offline, try to reboot your ship instead, it will recharge the shield to 50% immediately. but if you take damage or moves during the reboot sequence, the shield wont recharge at all.
also if you are on a landing pad, your shield will be instantly recharged.

The best way to regenerate shield is shield cell banks, you have described the second best

I did notice that shields regenerate slightly faster in supercruise.

Or maybe I'm just imagining things...

If you’re moving less than 50 m/s when the reboot ends, then your shields will come back on at 50% strength (yes that detail matters if you’re in a gravity well).
