You can fairly assume that GalNet is unbiased, since it is owned and operated by the Pilots Federation which is historically a neutral entity.
Meta-wise it'd make very little sense for the only lore source on current events to skew into a particular direction or employ a bias towards a certain faction. That'd only lead to confusion and frustration of the player base.

Sure. I've never said that they are 'biased' somehow. But talking about these superpower games, they operate only with information that is provided by participants of these games, who know that it would be published.

Sure, but that's not an issue for GalNets reliability. A bias or publishing speculation would be.
That'd be much more an issue for the reliability of whoever releases that info (which should rightly be questioned in this case).

Yeah.
I guess I should have added something like "...in terms of political news" to my first reply to this topic. They are good at highlighting those 'mystery' things about thargoids, dredgers, gen.ships etc. But when it comes to politics, they just process and translate what was shared with them. Of course reliabiliy of this data is somewhere below the bottom. But without it they'll have nothing to publish.
Still kinda struggling with these "OOC"/"non-OOC" things, yeah, I know that there's a bunch of people at FD who write that news, and they sometimes don't care, but... Thinking that way, a big part of immersion would be lost. And my attitude towards real news is pretty much the same.

While I agree with you entirely, the talk of fuel is important. Bearing in mind that you jump significantly further on a half-full tank than a full one. When I need to get places, I tend to only scoop to halfway so I can make 72 ly per jump. Still gives 3 jumps min.
How do you manage to go to the GalMap plot a 72ly jump, jump, and all in three times in a minute?
Pretty sure they meant 3 jumps minimum (before refueling) rather than 3 jumps per minute.

Mr SloppyJust wondering whats the biggest planet people have successfully landed on (I just tried, failed, and nearly died trying to land on Kyloalks DL-Y g17 4 it has a wopping gravity of 9.8G)
I need to upgrade my thrusters before trying again..... and maybe some repairs.
