Has Frontier nerfed the amount of core asteroids appear in a resource spot ?

Took me two hours to find two core asteroids today in an overlapping Monazite hotspot.

Synthya Wylderwaitaminnit... In all my ships with 2 seats side by side, they're all commanded from the left-hand one.

Seems legit.

When entering or leaving a station, my ship goes via the right-hand side, provided it's not a space whale like the Conda or Type-10 or the like, which takes the whole friggin' slot.

Seems legit.

Although from a mariner's point of view, the green & red lights in the stations are reversed when entering... at least, here in the States, one must keep the red mark or light to the starboard when entering a waterway or port. ("Red-Right-Returning"). Seeing that all those things we fly are called 'ships' I'd think they'd carry on the standard.

Now for those living "down-unda" things should be upside-down, Hmm?

What about Fer de lance? You sit in right.

Also the Adder. And although I do not own one I think I've seen some videos inside the Clipper with the CMDR on the right?

Regarding the lights, I always learnt that "port wine is red" and since you pass port to the left after dinner.... but perhaps that says too much about my upbringing! Regardless, although port is left and red, while starboard is right and green, this only applies on leaving the harbour, so on return the right hand side of the channel would be red. It is also the convention that you stay on the right side of the channel, so outgoing ships would be on the green or starboard side, while incoming vessels would be on the red or port side. However this all breaks down in space, since your ship might be upside down relative to an oncoming ship so the right hand side is the same on both ships.

I suspect that the red/green lights at the letterbox are simply calling back to everyones' experience with traffic lights. Red means stop, green means go.

Don’t believe so. Hotspot overlaps don’t mean a lot when you’re core mining. They’re only really for lasers. You either want an isolated spot where no one else (in any instance) has mined in the last 20 mins or knowledge of a good site (core rocks are not random they’ll be the same whenever you visit.

Have you ever checked the vehicles on the weird roads in a station ?

They drive on the correct Australian side.

Even the fednecks realise us Aussies are right.

You mean they realize you are left. ;-)

It must be the circular motion that makes them dizzy.

And if anyone is still doing CG in Harma, there are reports and vids of a CMDR DDASD flying a hacked fdl and 1-shot killing players. Using auto-interdiction and ‘grom bomb’ effects on railguns.

He got me two times today.

He sat in the inside the station - station laser are firing on him but no any visible effect on his FDL. He fired a single shot on me and i was gone. I didn't know what happened to me - when i got smakced the second time i logged off and relogged in. then he was gone.

I will report it to frontier. Did not know that he was cheating...

Thanks for the info.

The updated selling prices for commodities have been a bit off for me on XBOX lately. Just now the search results for the best selling price of Monazite closest to Summanus was Whits Station in the Reddot system at 840k per unit. The updated time was 47 minutes. So I went to whits Station and the price was 560k per unit. So frustrating.

Perhaps those 47min were enough for other players to fulfil the demands. Or you had it in bulk so price dropped. Had the similar issues with big loads of cargo. Even 'in-game' on-station interface was showing about 700k on something on a neighbouring station, but it was a bit more than 600 actually when I'd landed there.
