MeowersA strange sort of excitement. But... I can understand.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I want to git gud at interdictions so that in the future I can decide when to submit and when not. Beating NPC interdictions is too easy and doesn't prepare for the real deal.

Kosevich's interdiction failed. It was one of those weird cases where the blue bar started going down although I kept the ship nailed in the white circle till the end. I've seen the same effect before when other players interdicted me. There must be some other mechanics involved that the circle doesn't show. Does the orientation of the ship matter? The speed? Or does the game simply toss a coin if both players don't make mistakes?
This guy used lag switching in ground CZ. He probably use it while flying too.

Can I piecemeal/incrementally deposit landmines for Liz or do I have to get it all in one go? Because she’s the only thing standing between me and Hera right now and I don’t think I can maintain a cargo hauler large enough for long enough to get her unlocked in one swoop. I mean…I could, but then I’m riding too uncomfortably close to the bread line for rebuys on my Dirty Work (which, as it happens, is coming along quite nicely, thanks for asking; just unlocked Qwent and had him go nuts with overcharging my generator, he also was kind enough to throw in a fast charging distributor for basically free with some real spiffy bells and whistles, but I think I owe him a few beers now).
(As to why I want Hera when I have Qwent on speed dial…well, Hera can go to Grade 5 on overcharged generators; Qwent, for all his moxie and general cool-dude-ness, can only go to Grade 4; Hera also unlocks Broo, who I really wanna know and work with)

I looked up lag switching. Had no idea there's even hardware dedicated to it.
In traditional client/server games, lag usually isn't beneficial to the player experiencing it. But ED is P2P, so the effects may be different.
If I understand ED's interdiction mechanics correctly, the escape vector for the interdictee is generated locally by the game client, while the interdictor chases a ship whose coordinates are transmitted across the network. This would indeed make lag beneficial to the interdictee.
I'm reluctant to accuse anyone of cheating, but maybe I should record a few of these interdictions to video. It might help understand what was actually going on.

In the combat zone I had like zero reds around me and 11 greens. After a min all greens die instantly and reds appeared out of nothingness. The other symptom is getting a player invincible for short period of time or receiving a burst of damage that comes from nowhere.
I guess when interdicted a lag switch can give you a comfort to avoid interdiction while the interdictor sees you as surely-interdicted just to realize that the mini-game is lost when the lagger sync back.
This behaviour is impossible with central authority server. If someone disconnect briefly or lag the avatar remains dormant as a ghost and getting all stuff from the server back when sync occurs. This is also the reason why combat logs are possible only in p2p.

As far as I can remember you can donate any unlock materials by parts until complete.
And Qwent is absolutely useless there is no way anybody has that guy over grade 3

In any case, it looks like I gotta make a few trips in the Blow Me Away, my dedicated armed trader, to grab as many landmines as will fit in the damn thing. Liz is gonna have to wait a touch if she wants to do business with me—if she wanted to be on my shortlist, she shouldn’t have asked for a damn colony’s worth of mines.
