Mr SloppyJust wondering whats the biggest planet people have successfully landed on (I just tried, failed, and nearly died trying to land on Kyloalks DL-Y g17 4 it has a wopping gravity of 9.8G)
I need to upgrade my thrusters before trying again..... and maybe some repairs.

Lithobreaker

How it could be landable? Its only crashable. You must die before you land with crushed ribs.

Lithobraker is 11.01 G - MJs > than bones and skill

Wat? There is written Earth masses: 94.5884 Maybe I am still confused because I woke up few minutes ago. But 94,5 times bigger masses of Earht could mean 94,5G instead of Earths 1G. So where I do mistake? Masses = gravity

An interesting system indeed. Four blue stars and a single landable planet.

Mass isn't the only thing influencing the gravitational field. Density (and thus by extension volume) and the distance to the center of the mass are also factors you can't ignore.

So while the planet has 95 times the mass of earth, it also has 27 something times the volume.

Well I am awake now.

Thanks Episparh
If / when I manage to land on Kyloalks I'll give Lithobreaker a visit.
My line between stupidity and stubbornness may well get another appraisal.

Yeah, but if certain stellar body is also of bigger size, then gravity levels, starting from its surface and up to the space, would be lesser than 'straight proportion' value. Because of bigger distance between center and given point on surface/in space around.

Before that you can invite me to multicrew. I want see it. I am afraid I am too far to visit this planet soon.

Anyway, there's a 'lore plot' that artificial gravity isn't present in E:D universe. But landing or even being close to high-G worlds would be questionable that way. That levels of gravity could easily kill anybody, no matter if if'll be 'inside a landed ship', 'free falling to the surface (without stabilized orbit)' or 'walking around'. And there would be... certain problems with ladders, jumping, any non-flat surfaces. They could say 'it's your pilot suit saving you and letting you move around', but that kind of strength boost could also, if thinking logically, lead to simple punches being between 'lethal' and 'eviscerating' in a lower-G conditions.

In real more dangerous is cosmic radiation, than high gravity worlds. We should everyone be dying on illnes from radiation.

But it could be stopped by hull or/and shields. Pretty much 'sci-fi'. Who knows what types of radiation shielding would be available in 34th. But if there's no artificial gravity... Then 11G world would squeeze all the crap out of everyone.
