Is this ship almost unengineered? Or you just forgot to set this data there?

Ah yes, kept meaning to get a Grade 5 Dirty drive, high capacity Grade 1 with Flow Control on the power distributor, and Armoured Grade 5, Monstered on the PP. I started work on it a few months ago, but got frustrated trying to grind for materials for the Overcharged weapons and took another long break from Elite. This is what it's really meant to look like, but I am only part way through the engineering at present and want to get stuck into the CG rather than faff around with engineers.

Engineering Grade 3 at least, Grade 5 at best. And if you won't be able to go through all the HighCZ combat on highly engineered ship without your shields going down, then you're doing something wrong or bad or both of it.

I can handle myself pretty well in the Python in High Intensity CZs. What got me making this DBS build was how a ganker sent me to the rebuy screen in about 30 seconds en route to the megaship during the LTT 1935 CG, though I did miss a few tricks that could have helped improve my survivability.

By the way, if you want electrochemical arrays or polymer capacitators, is the best way to about about that to just go farming High Grade Emissions sites in war zones for Military Supercapacitors and trade down? Because that's the only reliable way I have found for obtaining them. Also missions seem to be my best shot at getting Modified Embedded Firmware, it's slow but reliable.

Yeah, I was just farming out HGEs to the oblivion and then swapped Tier 4-5 materials found there to something that I need.

Have been collecting a lot of materials lately…
Did try some HGE sites, but have been exercising the SRV collecting electrochemical arrays and polymer capacitors along with other Mats up to about G4 at Dav’s Hope (Hyades Sector DR-V c2-23).

Also unlocked one of the Colonia engineers that does shield cell banks, engineered a batch and did a module transfer ones of different sizes back to the bubble. Working well so far.

I find the Military Supercapacitors have bad RNG. Almost as bad as the Pharmaceutical isolators I almost always end up trading Imperial Shielding for them. Yes, it's actually easier to farm Imp shielding at 1/6th the rate imo.

Regarding the CG: I can't recommend doing them in Open if you're competing for higher rankings. As many good reasons to stay in Open as there are, it just ends up slowing you down and at worst costs you time in lost bonds fighting in a PVP spec'd ship. I'd also recommend getting into a wing regardless of what mode you are in, especially with an under-engineered DBS.

I find trading g5 materials to be more time efficient regardless of what you trade them for. If you happen to get the ones you are looking for then it's a nice bonus.

Since this could actually be a competitive (that is, not automatically going to go the Federation's way) CG, I may just go with my Python and just have it specced as I usually do for combat zones - may explore it in Open but mostly stick to Solo unless there are loads of CMDRs fighting for the Nova Imperium side.

How can a novice sidewinder kill a fully enginered cutter,In the space of 2 mins?
07 May 2021, 12:37am
A good pilot in the Sidewinder and a bad one in the Cutter.

2 minutes? I doubt Sidey can pack enough firepower to put Cutter's shields down in that amount of time, let alone the hull.
