Rat CatcherTry Pirate Lord wing assasination missions? They will certainly be challenging and will mainly be elite rated opponents.
with the added benefit of plenty of high-grade mats to collect along the way.

These were challenging indeed, until someone told me they can be cheesed by ramming. But yeah, I should try them again the way they're meant to be played. My loadout is better now than it was the first time. Stronger shields and more hull against phasing lasers. Last time I had to run.

You do not know what is suicide-winder-express?

  1. Buy cheap ship - preferably sidewinder.
  2. Undock and leave station.
  3. Attack station!
  4. Do not rebuy your cheap ship you bought on step one.
  5. Pick free sidewinder and you will respawn at career start in the bubble!


Now that sounds like a better way to return. I assume you end up with a fine for this naughty deed?

The fastest way I've seen is Pirate Activity Threat 6+. 100% of the NPC's in those zones are Deadly or Elite.

Well, you can self-destruct or disable shields and ram station.
Fines and bounties are only if you keep the ship, which is not what we want with that exercise

Thank you, I didn’t previously know about this. I have a 2nd Corvette to fly to out, and will do the same with the Cutter when I have enough credits for a 2nd build. It will save hours. :-)

I can only read about it here but it seems that no rewards are being discussed until 300 mill bonds delivered. So, this is one for the RP players or hedge-betters. Can’t see the payout being like last week - that would bankrupt the Fed.

I keep saying this isn't a lot of money. Assuming a 2% rate of inflation, $1 in 2021 terms is equal to $114,768,019,115 dollars in the year 3307. It's likely that WW3 in Elite's universe had a deflationary effect, but even so, that was such a long time ago.

Well, the population of the Federation is over 1.8 trillion (based on EDDB data for systems designated Allegiance: Fed and population >50million).
The total cost of the CG (not including the modules) is 86.1 trillion.

This CG cost the average citizen 48 credits

The salvation person on glanet makes me think of a character from a book series called skulduggery pleasant. The character is The plague doctor who keeps his identity secret so he can do something to save the world but he can't and won't tell anyone why or how he plans on doing it

With a good jump range it can take you a day to fly back

I take it we dont loose all our other ships in the process.

Other ships will be where you left them. You loose just your current ship. This is why I said that you need to buy a cheap ship which you can afford loosing.
