Or a power trip. Lots of big groups have nothing better to do except expand and then run roughshod over others, then wonder why they have enemies.

...with "independent" seen as "nobody's", "untaken", "unowned", "grab me I'm helpless".

It's amazing what some of them will do when a group doesn't roll over and play dead though. That's when the fun starts.

Can't relate, sadly. One pilot's effort is a drop in the ocean usually. But can imagine. Probably it's some fun, phah.

Going 1 vs 16 will get you shot down, but remembered well.

If they have to bring four wings to take me down, I'd be flattered.

Sadly the most I've had after me was two full wings. Gross incompetence kept them from actually completing the task.

Nope, that wasn't a game situation, it's... a thing from history.
But nevertheless can't relate. Perhaps my turd wars weren't so interesting.

It's all relative anyway. In reality it's just about who you piss off - or who pisses you off- and whether or not you're willing to go toe to toe with them.

Me personally, I never was one to shy away from the big ones. It's always fun to watch them scratch their heads when they find there's more fight than they expected.

I'm the espionage type. Face to face battles are to be avoided since they tend to require too much effort relative to the payoff. If I do commit to a face to face battle, it means there was no other option.

I only messed with BGS for a couple of the bigger groups because they managed to really annoy me in some way.
30 Apr 2021, 1:29pm
i don't know if this is a bug or just something that makes me extremely angry (no extra help needed with the later) so i open galaxy map and zoom out to see where im at and where i want to go..let go of zoom trigger and it automatically zooms right back in. this is very frustrating..

Okaaaaaay... so, FDev now added 3 more tiers to the current CG as it was getting close to be finished today already... without adjusting the monetary rewards.

Current Tier 4 Top 10: 500,000,000 credits. Top 10%: 300,000,000 credits.

This CG will see some real crazy handouts in money.

okay so i've been outa the loop for a bit and I can't take part in the CG but can you correct me if I'm wrong.
This CG is different from the others in that you can get both modules by playing both sides?

The wording specifically is:

Should the initiative gain more data than President Hudson's campaign, Shadow President Winters's policy will deliver a 50% increase in stability to the systems she controls or exploits. Hudson's failure is predicted to have negative consequences in systems he controls or exploits, where system security will be decreased by 25%. These effects are expected to last for at least one month before settling back toward existing values.

Additionally, the top 75% of contributors will receive a fully engineered A-rated Electronic Countermeasure with lightweight and shielded modifications. This will be placed in storage at Ito Orbital by the 8th of May 3307.

So, yeah, should the initiative win, X delivers increased stability blah blah ... but ADDITIONALLY, the top 75% of contributors (and this happens in either side) will receive the module. This is separate to the winning bit. So I'm guessing you can get in the top 75% of both and claim modules, yeah?

I assume you are correct, though you know what they say about "assume". The wording by FDev is just vague enough to leave room for some doubt.
