This is because L.Y.S Corp. PMF and their asset - Strength of Purpose was not removed after the CG. Without any other player factions, the system had no chance vs a squadron supported PMF.
Hm, actually they had lost. But that megaship cannot be taken from them. This is another Frontier's fine mess.

TBH I don't think Jupiter Division is supposed to still be in control of the systems we're in control of either, since we lost the CG War and everyone got arrested. It feels like they set things up and then forgot about it. It's also possible that they just wanted to see what players would do, but the fact that our main station still doesn't have missions enabled makes me wonder. There could be additional storyline but I've grown less and less confident in that as we are getting so close to the release of Odyssey.

It is not quite the same case. The injected faction and its megaship were removed from HIP 54530 after the CG ended.
