To reply to people chat you need to go to coms panel - default keyboard key is 2 for other control methods consult with keybindings or the manual available as PDF download from launcher.

Myke175Not on game chat... on the INRA site. I found a meta-alloy at a Thargoid structure on a planet in the Peilades Sector, just took a few days.
Click on COMMANDER menu item in top navigation then look at the left side menu items.

*You still can need to use the pad as headset port since HOTAS have no port for them but it won't control your ship.

Well you wanna play a game on a wannabe PC ... what do you expect?
Some people, especially given how ridiculously pumped up prices had become right now, can't simply afford a gaming PC (Xbox Series S is cheaper than reasonable GPU and way more powerful than "gaming" PC for the same price). There are also people who prefer more mobile-friendly source of entertainment that can be just plugged into any basic screen that has HDMI slot - and thankfully we live in times in which it is rare to see a household without a TV*. Let's not mention the fracturing between different platforms, like Steam, Epic, Origin, etc. in order to play three different games for the same system.
You would be surprised how popularity of the consoles grew thanks to whatever is happening on the PC parts market, created not only by pandemic we have no control over but also by the people who wanted to push their virtual currencies to the limit, not only basically drying Graphic Cards markets and exploding their prices into orbit, but went as far as dangerously straining manufacturing plants that can barely fulfill the needs of respective firms and subsidiaries.
*Speaking about more or less developed countries.

I'm a proud PC owner but seeing the state of play regarding certain components makes me despair, really hope that crypto goes take a leap soon, even if it isn't wholly to blame for the GPU shortages.
