Engineering a lightweight hull for heavy duty and deep plating - as you haven't - would yield 462 absolute hitpoints, 337 explosive, 393 kinetic, and 472 thermal.
Good to know. If I had completed that (I only have 1) I would probably be still hanging around where everything is named Wredguia. Last landing on a high gravity planet did not do any good for may already weakened hull. Limping back "home".
BTW, searching for the closest anything with a repair shop, 3 out of 3 FC had already left the system. Nobody in sight.

That's NOT my requirements, I don't care for those stats, I need my shield to last long enough to bug out and higher Thermal Resistance guaranties that, the funny thing is that it is the FIRST thing I said but she insists in trying to impose her view. TYPICAL.
Landing safely on high gravity planets requires high thrust and low weight. That's my fit. 384 T Laden 6D Thruster.
Now about coriolis accuracy, a ship 13 T heavier is FASTER and has a longer Jump range with equivalent FSD and lower grade Thruster, and some dare post this as a tease. I'm laughing.

ThinderKasumi GotoThinder
here are my Krait Phantom stats.
I would just like to note, using lightweight engineering on the lightweight alloys is actually pointless - it does not reduce weight because they do not have any.
In case you didn’t know.
It's Thermal Resistance I was after...

But I guess it's easier to be insulting than actually engage with the points being made. So I'm just gonna tune out, bye.

I personally just carry a small (1D) repair limpet controller with a size 2 cargo rack - as synth(esis) always creates 4 limpets - ever since I had a slightly too close encounter with a planet at high speeds and survived it (while exploring, of course). Saves me having to search up a carrier nearby, which if it's far off in deep space is usually a few thousand light years to a DSSA carrier.
Of course, I haven't actually had to use it because I've also been careful to not approach planets at .5G or higher at full throttle without watching the screen after that incident, but to me it's preferable to have the eventuality covered. Minimal increase in mass, and just keep the limpet controller powered down when not in use.

Shg56Thinder, thank you for e-type internals explanation. I thought that they exist only to create a vector for upgrade grind. Though I would never use them myself but it makes my heart warm knowing that somebody out there is using them.
Engineering is synonymous of optimizing, you don't need a full scale X 5 engineering for a module, just what you need for example short range laser, Damage OR Range.
In the case for my hull engineering as stated I was after Thermal Resistance, NOT Hit points or anything else, since the ship is not gonna do any combat.
Apparently some are hard pressed to understand that you don't need to use LIGHTWEIGHT ALLOY only to try to lower weight, since the modification provide for 3 other Positive Primary effects, you can chose to use this modification for those effects, which is what I have done.
I don't have any bulkhead to engineer so the hull was the only part of the ship after the shields where I could increase thermal resistance without the benefit of Kinetic Resistance (hard landings, shells), and Explosive Resistance (hit point trading).
To escape an attack instead of trading hit point that's what I need.

Glial2damn ... DAMN ... no coming back from that even with heavy duty everything (hull, armour, dignity)

I'm not even a trainee yet but I will...

AHNow I am sitting in some weird names system and wondering - should I jump 175+175 ly and get repairs or keep going and hope the duct tape works and I can make it back from my destination (closest station >500 Ly)
Getting repairs or continuing on to the destination depends on how damaged the ship is, how dangerously you want to live, and how willing you are to risk losing any chartography data you've gathered. I'm a risk taker, but that one time I limped 2500 LY to get repairs at Colonia with only 8% hull remaining was a bit stressful. I was always checking the route to be sure I was not jumping into a binary system, not using jetcone boosts, and not spending any extra time mapping planets unless they were high value.
