Fdev in an interview: We didn't want to do ship interiors because we thought that after the 5th or 6th time that people would be tired of going through their ship to take off, especially if they're in a rush.
Really, Fdev? That troubles you more than having all your players grind to death anyway. Lol.
Personally, I would have absolutely loved ship interiors. Imagine walking through an FC.

Yet Frontier decided to implement a 3D menu that you literally need to run 5-10 min just to take on-foot mission. And don't let me even started with Frontline solution and other time sinks they placed everywhere.

In any case, I tried to do a mission yesterday that mean I had to research some materials. I looked up markets having the required commodity in inara, and found the closest one 52Ly away. So after running doing 24 odd jumps etc with my little ship, I get to the station, dock and there's none of the commodity required.
Is there any way to validate this inside ED before I commit to a run? I had checked and double checked the travel time etc to validate the mission before I accepted it. I'm a dad with little time on my hands, so having "wasted" an hour+ of my two hours max fortnightly game time, I was a bit p****d at losing that time for nothing, and possibly a penalty in game for not completing the mission within the 24hrs deadline...
Cheers for the feedback, in any case, really got to enjoy the whole travel part. loved zooming past some planets whilst speeding to my stations.

KilladarkSo the Elite + ranks are they already working? I remember turning in 200mill of carto and did nothing for explore rank...
Or it takes much more than that to move the needle.
I've been combat Elite since 2016 and if my rank isn't updated to reflect it... it's kinda shitty. Moreover, what's the point of adding five new ranks anyway if they serve no purpose?
