Does anyone know what happened with the Oracle? Was it a bug, is it still falling etc?

Last I heard it got fixed with one of the hotfixes? Haven't seen it myself though...

Here's your answer via GALNET

Something much bigger than Oracle is now crashing and burning (I'll leave that to the reader's imagination) that is in dire need of repairs.

You mean Odyssey? (Still love the game just hope things get ironed out in a realistic amount of time).

Oracle was a bug that Frontier spun a story around, probably to fill a day that would otherwise not have any Galnet stories. They did the same thing with the FNS Nevermore opening up on, if memory serves, Hudson Dock, way back in 3301.

Thargoids sensor materials will fall though the ground in HIP 17403 A 4 A in Horizons... I wonder if Odyssey has this problem...

MutantKeyboardHow often does the BGS run. My squadron did a few missions last night totalling about 25 influence points and our influence has gone up by 0.1%. Is this normal sort of ratios or are we waiting on a BGS update?

That is normal, as 25 influence is a low number in itself. You would want to focus on multiple aspects rather than just going for Influence from missions.

Bounty Hunting, Trading, Murders, and Missions are all a factor in BGS. As well as many other things that don't come to mind for me.

If your faction is in control of a station then you can do Bounty Hunting/Trading to boost your influence. Turning in Bounties for only your faction and not others. Trading for a profit boosts influence.

If not in control, then you need to build your factions INF up to get tied with the leading faction to create a war, win that war, and then you gain control.

Admiral DemonioAre Jameson crash site, Dav's Hope still a good farming place post odyssey? I could google it to be fair but i prefer just chatting and messaging here.

I have seen a comment pass that said the the crash site and dav's hope still work.

Visited Dav’s Hope over the weekend and it is still there :-)

I landed on level ground but the SRV dropped onto the planet on its side directly under my ship.
Might need to dismiss the ship so the SRV can be flipped around with thrusters/or log out and back in.
Odyssey - Got a new error message here of ‘Black Adder’.

It might have been fixed since the weekend.

Amata LireinDoes anyone know where the best chances are to find power regulators and carbon fibre plating? Either settlement- or barkeeper-type (for trade-in) would be helpful

Power regulators can be found rarely in security lockers. They can be found pretty commonly in crashed srv's (take out arc cutter, crouch under the belly of the srv, cut open the lock, take the power regulator), and can be found also by shutting down the power of an active settlement, and taking the power regulator from the reactor (highly recommend the first 2 options over the third).

Carbon fiber plating I have found is mostly at evacuated sites over abandoned ones. Still a pretty rare/uncommon material. Mostly I have found all my carbon fiber plating in security lockers, laying around the settlement on crates and counters, or in the yellow chests uncommonly placed outside of the settlements (to open those without a security code if they are locked will require an E-breach. E-breaches are most commonly found at star ports in communist government controlled systems.

I gonna add the following discovery: Barkeepers at refinerys (like this one) do trade with Carbon Fibre Platings, BUT(!) they are rather expensive with an item value of 11 per piece.

Which brings up the point: We need a list on what barkeepers do trade with depending on their station types...

In ED: Horizons there is a display bug on when doing a Fleet Carrier jump, the Fleet Carrier tritium reserves is showing 100% increase consumption from 1000 to 805 tons yet the amount of fuel consumed is 95-100 tons when it finished the jump. Frontier Developments have forgotten to fix the display of it when releasing the Odyssey.....

Can someone please explain how elections work. I've read through the wiki but can't seem to find any answers.

I've got my faction influence up to roughly the same level as the one above and it now says we're preparing an election.

What happens now. Do I keep doing missions to improve our influence? Are we frozen out until the election starts? What happens when the election starts?
