Amata LireinCan anyone tell me a good reason why I should bother upgrading/engineering the "Artemis"-suit (aka the exploration one)? Scanning plants does not get you into firefights after all, unlike the Dominator-suit for CZ and the Maverick for other settlement shenanigans...
I haven't upgraded my Artemis and I'm just about through Cataloguer. I mean, having a bigger battery, or more efficient power supply, or greater run speed or run/jetpack duration would help but aren't necessary at all and almost certainly not worth the grind if I'm hearing what everyone's been saying on that regard (I use an unmodded Artemis 2 suit).
If there were suit mods that increase your environment tolerances that'd be a different story. Until then I say don't bother.

Yeah, was thinking in similar lines... You don't need the stronger shields, and it does its job scanning plantlife even on grade 1. So until something like higher tolerances to extreme gravity and/or temperatures comes along it's really not worth the time and grind.

SalmoneaYesterday I found weapon level 3 with engeneering for reload speed. I though its randomly spawning, but not. Its only when some player sell it.
Are you sure?
everything I sell seems to disappear.

Especially the excellent new VOs in Odyssey, like the new spaceleg-tutorial or the engineers' dialogs, let me believe that they could pull this off.

Those spawn randomly after weekly tick. Got several grade 3 items some with 1 and even 2 engineering mods.

Amata LireinYou know, with all that different mission types and activities available now I wished FDev would go ahead and "steal" one concept from EvE Online: single-player story-driven campaigns offered by the superpowers/powerplay factions, called "Epic Arcs" by EvE. Those could come with a massive boost to the respective faction, including several rank promotions where applicable, or a free powerplay module.

Yeah, no! Frontier cannot figure even a meaningful rewards for leg missions. You are expecting way too much.

Sooo... does that mean that the concept itself would find your approval otherwise?

What's the easiest way to unlock the Odyssey engineer Wellington Beck.
"Sell a total of 25 Multimedia Entertainment, Classic Entertainment and Cat media to bartenders."
Tourist Centers?
PS: I would be happy to see branching missions, but well it's elite, there is branching grind.

Yeah, I got those while trying to collect opinion polls at touristic settlements.... I've killed so many yet got too few data
