Players and NPCs have the same flight model as far as I'm aware and higher rated NPCs are capable of flying with FAoff. They absolutely do cheat, but not in that regard.

Because I'm somewhat sure that I've seen the AI doing FAoff turns, especially Elite FdLs.

Remember that AI has boosted stats and perfect thruster control, it might just appear like they are doing FAoff turns...
Just because something looks like it doesn't mean it is like it.

Turns on an uncorrected course do look pretty distinct, but if the AI has perfect control over all thrusters at all times I guess it would look pretty similiar.

Guess I was wrong there.

FYI - Landing Pads on Odyssey Settlements

Last friday Sighman wrote on Frontier Forums:

Still trying to figure out if there's a clue in the name (as with space-based stations)

So far I've visited a number of Odyssey facilities in a small ship. I could tell for sure if the landing pad was small or medium, but it's hard to gauge whether it was large.

xyz Depot (large pad for sure)
abc Installation (no large, unsure about medium)
xyz Hub (Med yes, large unsure)
abc Complex (Med yes, large unsure)
xyz Site (medium and large)
abc Territory (medium and large)


I hope this helps out a bit for market trader.

found a system that still has a low price, updated 20 minutes ago, getting my carrier here, 2 mins later the price skyrockets to over 40k from 8k gg xD



That is why You always check when it was last updated. I usually only go for carriers that are updated in the last one to 2 hours just to minimize the risk of wasting time. I am a little more lenient on stations though.


you understood me wrong, even if its a late reply.
I got my carrier there to pile it up with the commodity to then jump to the selling station.

Do you know why in ED HORIZON I can see "Schubert Analysis Laboratory" in the market comparison ?
Because I saw that this station is an Odyssey station https://inara.cz/station/261009/

I have looking for it but this station doesn't exist in horizon ...

no, I checked prices again and wanted to get the first load of cargo while waiting for my 15 minutes carrier carrier jump and then I saw that the prices changed to old standards

Did anyone figure out how to use the Synthesis Automation Units found in some Odyssey settlements? I tried putting a sample from a nearby Sample Containment Unit into it, but nothing seems to have happened after closing and re-opening the SAU.

i have no school work left and 3 days left of school so i am now playing skyrim in my free lesson, its fun but anxiety spikes when i see teachers wondering. i will be on elite later for some bounty hunting in my newly fitted chieftain with my dad

Just as a heads-up:

Those two methods do indeed work nicely and are certainly more reliable then looting a settlement after restarting it, at least when it comes to these specific components:

1) Manufacturing Instructions (needed for EVERYTHING)



Bonus: potential chance on those rather rare charged Power Regulators.

2) Weapon Schematics (needed for all weapon types)



Bonus: also a good chance to find PUSH for Domino Green.

Let the relog fest begin because Frontier do not care to update material rewards from missions.

Why would one go to remote location, spend time to kill all scavengers and extinguish all fires, a process that takes roughly 20 min.
For a chance to find 1-2 data mats and get 1-2 mats as mission reward? Nah, just find a location and do the epic Frontier loop through main menu /facepalm

Pray that they fix optimization as even RTX 3090 will not help you. From a game play perspective - nothing. So far "on foot" stuff exists only to grind stuff for "on-foot" assets and immersion
