Elite: Game talk

Does anyone actually keep multiple crew members at one time? It's possible in game, but I don't see any reason why you would. Looking at the lifetime pilot payout amount in my stats is not fun.

I do. Trained a crew pilot from harmless to elite once I got to elite at first place. I use it in just one ship a PvE Vette. 10% do not look so much because I do not make money anymore.

With new ranks I do not know. If you want elite 5 you better drop the NPC because it will slow your progression. It will also reduce your further income probably by another 5%. Odyssey messed so many things, I am still waiting everything to settle down before I decide.

Some people didn't enjoy it?

They probably did, they just wouldn't ever admit it publicly.

I'm surprised you have my stuff on speed dial.

Today I went to Jackson's Lighthouse to experiment with FSD supercharging and to get an idea how much AFMU ammo I would need to cover a trip to Colonia if I allow the in-game route plotter to include neutron stars. (I know the Spansh router is more efficient for this, but it's also more cumbersome to use, and I'm lazy. ) So I tried to stay inside the jet cones as long as possible to accumulate FSD damage. What surprised me was that the damage remained invisible until after the jump! It's clearly proportional to the time spent inside the cone, so the game remembers it, but it won't show up in the modules panel when you emerge from the cone. Was it always like that? Or is this another bug in Odyssey?

No, it definitely used to update realtime. You could sit there and watch your modules degrade tick by tick. This is a bug that is probably related to things like ammo resetting on entering SC.

I remember that I would always only get damage to my FSD after the jump even before Odyssey, around 1% per jump on the anaconda.

Memory is extremely unreliable. You remember wrong.

In this video at 5:23 after supercharging for the first time after fresh repairs at a station his FSD health is 98% and he hasn't jumped yet, nor has he dropped out of SC.

Google isn't hard to use when using the correct search words. Speed dial? I replied 9h after the original Post.

Frankly, you're the last person we'd expect to remember us.

Then again, Phisto is known for triggering PTSD in some folks.
